Congrats on the 86! I was 6 months into waiting on my allocation for a white premium 6 speed then jumped on the supra when it popped up. It'll be a blast on the track! Though I'm sure you've heard of the RTV issues? Not sure if the 23's are affected by it also.

Thanks dude. Yeah, I heard of the issue. Not sure of the affected cars, but everything has their issues. Iā€™ll post from time to time in the off topic lounge as I mod it.

So, I received a ridiculously good offer on my Supra that I just couldnā€™t pass on, so itā€™s gone. Picked up a little 23 GR86 which will be a part time track rat / spare car.

2023 Neptune Blue GR86 Premium
Has a few upgrades from the factory like the black GR cat-back exhaust and GR shift knobā€¦blah blah.

What I found to be pretty cool is that itā€™s both direct and port injected from the factory so you can tune for e85 without having to upgrade fuel pump or injectors.

Iā€™m gonna stick around here for awhile to continue to support the forum and community. Iā€™ll have a bunch of goodies up for sale within the next few days. Ie; JB4, Apex wheels, intake, charge pipe, etc.

Congrats on the car! I would drop the oil and check for RTV first thing.

My Brother has worked on 2 warranty claims for spun bearings due to the RTV issue.

Thanks! I think it has 16 miles on it right now, but as soon as spring rolls around, Iā€™ll swap the oil out within the first 100 miles.

I'm curious: Did you put the 2.0 up for sale, and what was the offer? You're the second prominent 2.0 that sold it out of the blue, and I'm wondering where's all the offers for my build?! Although I don't know what I'd move on to yet, but congrats on the 86. I love that color blue.

I didn't put it up for sale but I did inquiry about this GR86 that was sitting in a local dealer showroom. I told them I had a 2021 Supra 2.0 with the safety & tech package with approximately 22K miles on it.

The car had an MSRP for around $48K and I paid $41K for it back in December of 2020. They gave me what I paid for it new back in 2020, so I essentially drove the car for two years for free. The GR86 while obviously slower, has a much better aftermarket and the ECM is not locked. I plan on making it a part-time track car / full-time spare car.

Thanks for the quick reply! That's exactly what I paid for mine, same color and everything. I've modded it quite a bit, though, and feel like I would be losing out if I traded it in for 41k, albeit the PPF and ceramic coating add a very limited amount to anyone but an enthusiast... and I guess I could always sell my TE37s and put my stocks back on... but I'm not sure where to go from here. All the cars I really want are in the high 70k-90k range and I'm not in a place where I can spend that on a car yet. Sorry, just thinking out loud, but congrats again on the 86!

No worries. My supra was petty much paid for and I de-modded the car for the most part and sold off everything. I'll have a catless Function Werks downpipe available soon and I still need to sell my 19" Apex SM-10 wheels. The entire thing was kinda spur of the moment. Cars come and they go...I don't really get attached to them.

Ohh, I'll take that DP off your hands when you're ready. Did it ever throw a CEL or does the defouler work?

No CEL...It works as advertised.

It was installed will maybe 500 miles on the car and traded in the vehicle with 22,500 on the ODO.
