TBH the money is better spent on a Car like an R8 or a Porsche. BMW is too diluted now. Supra is one of the only cars they make to have a soul. The new BMW's look like they hired a kindergarten kid to design them and the new ugly one display dash in the M2 was a final nail in the coffin for me, A sports car should not have anything like that. The only good thing they have going for them is the B58 and the S58. I'd rather the F87 M2 comp or CS than a G87
TLDR; Keep the Supra and upgrade to a Porsche or an R8 if that fancies you/

Yeah from what I've seen on track tests online, the F87 M2 Comp is actually a little bit slower despite having more power... Which means the Supra has better dynamics. Actually, most of the tests were of the 2020 Supra vs the 2020 M2, so the 21+ Supras should actually be even faster.

What are you basing this on? And are you referring to the F87, because there is not much hands on track time or reviews with the G87. If you are referring to the F87, both of those statements are highly contested. Depending on the track, the Supra often puts down faster lap times in hands on testing than the f87. As far as handling, they have similar suspension setups but the center of gravity and weight make the m2 handle worse. I am no race car driver but I spent enough time behind the f87 before buying my Supra and I have no idea how you could say it handles better than the Supra.

If you were talking about the G87, not sure how you can make these statements when they are not really in the hands of the public yet.

Here's an example of what I mean... 2020 Supra vs 2020 M2 DCT. The M2 has much more power so if it actually does handle better, then it would theoretically smoke the Supra during this lap.

They added the M3/4 motor to the M2C and they upset the chassis/braking in my opinion and that was known. I tested the M2C for a multi day test and I did not want to sell the 17 M2 for it. One it did not feel much faster, had softness to it and lacked the feel and fun of the 17 M2. I think we see a bit of hype about it that fell off for the M2C. This review also shows how good the 335hp Supra is.

Pobst is an excellent sportscar driver/racer and understands driving dynamics so well. His best trait is bringing that over to people who are not so well educated or experienced. He is amazing. I enjoy his track and road tests and seek them out. Also refreshing how Pobst does not waste time complaining about a manual not being available in his test cars.

Glad they up’ed the power on the 2021 Supra. I’d love to have Randy drive my Supra with all the SPL bits, sway bars, race pads and stickier tires. Amazing how this Supra transforms without spending a fortune. I’ve met Randy 2x, once at Sebring, the other at St. Pete. Great guy!

Not to mention that the N55 sounds so awesome vs the S55 right?? ?

This quote resonates with me. My last 2 cars before the Supra never felt fulfilling (Genesis G80 5.0 and G70 3.3T). Prior to the Boopra, the last car I felt connected with was my 87 Trans AM 455 swap and before that a 87 Buick GN.

The new M2/3/4 are amazing cars, with a fantastic drivetrain and potential. But they don’t get me excited, they feel a bit generic, especially in Dallas. Even the C8 I test drove before buying the Supra was no doubt quick, but I really didn’t feel any spark. The Supra though? Every turbo spool, high rpm shift pop, downshift burble, and unexpected fishtail on a dry day is just as exciting as the day I drove her home from LA.

No thanks M series - I don’t need to impress my internet friends with 0-60 times.

M’s aren’t that special anymore. The supra actually beat M2 Comp on the track by a hair too. So M’s aren’t really that faster.
