SUPRA STARTS HERE: TOYOTA OPENS ONLINE RESERVATIONS FOR THE RETURN OF ITS LEGENDARY SPORTS CAR
British motorists eager to be the first to get the keys to an all-new Toyota Supra can secure a place in the order books from today.
The imminent return of Toyota’s legendary sports car has already provoked great anticipation among motorists keen to experience new Supra’s “no compromise” engineering and performance. Their appetite has been whetted by the car’s scene-stealing appearances this year at the Geneva Motor Show and Goodwood Festival of Speed, and glowing reviews from the first journalists to drive a prototype model.
Andrew Cullis, Toyota GB Marketing Director, said: “The new Toyota Supra is a thoroughbred sports car with huge appeal to customers who are seeking a great driving experience and exclusivity. With only limited numbers available, we want to give people the earliest opportunity to secure their vehicle.”
To be sure of snapping up one of just 300 cars that will be available in the UK during 2019, customers can now place an official online reservation through Toyota’s national consumer website, or their local Toyota retailer’s web pages, using the My Toyota app. Making a reservation requires the submission of personal details and the payment of a £1,000 deposit, which is refundable if the customer changes their mind. Once all 300 places have been taken, further customers will be allocated a place on a waiting list. Order books will open in the New Year. Terms and conditions apply; full details can be found at www.toyota.co.uk.
Prices and specifications for the new Supra will be announced soon and customers will be kept fully up-to-date with information as it released.
The all-new Supra follows the great traditions of its predecessors as a front-engine/rear-wheel drive car, powered by a straight-six engine. Power output will be in excess of 300bhp, while a rigid chassis with a low centre of gravity promises to deliver an exhilarating drive.
Just to be nosey, did you ask him yet? HahaToday my local Toyota dealer called me and said, he got a message from Toyota Germany that I want to buy a Supra. I said “that’s right” and so he offered me to sign a purchase contract. I answered him that I don’t want to buy a pig in a poke and that It will take some time until I will sign, cause I need to know something more about that car (for the moment I believe that everyone who reads this forum knows more than any Toyota dealer). So we agreed to talk later again.
The more I think about this talk I'm annoying myself about the fact I didn’t ask for the price. Because when he wants me to sign a purchase contract, he needs to write down a price, right? I think I should ask him next days...
Sorry, I’m on a vacation right now but back at Saturday. I’ll talk to my dealer in person on Tuesday.Just to be nosey, did you ask him yet? Haha
Mike, which City are you from? Maybe I can come around for a look when you're car is delivered?![]()
