If we can get get a glimpse of the front brakes, that will clue us in if it's a more powerful model

good point. From that pic, brake caliper looks to be from the 2.0 Supra. Lol

Anyone think this could be the special version with the S58
No, since that won't happen. I really really don't believe BMW is going to give up the S58, even with a lucrative licensing agreement.

It depends on the numbers I guess. I doubt BMW will care too much for a car that has maybe 1000 units worldwide.

Agreed, especially in the coming age of electric appliances. They’ll be happy to get more spare parts revenue before ICE goes the way of the dodo.

MSRP 70 and I’ll murder someone to get front of line. No reason that engine adds more than 15k to price.

If you go by the Gr Yaris and Grmn Yaris for reference, it’s a minimum 25-30k difference. Theres no chance if a grmn Supra comes out it’ll be remotely close to 70k

Some will pay it, 80+ puts it in M2/3/4 territory where it has no business being.

Sure it does. There would be a significant curb weight difference between a potential GRMN Supra and the M2/3/4 to justify the cost. I'd imagine additional aero, a six pot brake system and firmer suspension would round out the package

I heard Toyota has already sent out its development test driver Masahiro Sasaki and chief engineer to the Nurburgring to work on a few cars and one of them is the Supra.
