Some will pay it, 80+ puts it in M2/3/4 territory where it has no business being.
well not as is, but with an S58 and trick M suspension+ aero, and some interior updates I can see this being a mid to high 70's car

The Supra as is is already a mid 70's car. We just get a huge discount because it has a Toyota badge. If it was sold as a Z4M coupe, it would be 75 minimum. A proper GRMN Supra with all the things you mentioned, and a CF roof, wing, etc will be 85 minimum. The A91-CF was well on it's way to 70, and that had no increased performance whatsoever.

Either way it will never happen so just hearsay at this point. 23 will be the last year of the supra

As others have already mentioned, the MKV has always been planned to end with *model year* 2026, meaning sales for the MY2026 Supra lineup through actual year 2025.

Presumably this will also be the case for the BMW Z4 lineup within the same general timeframe.

Z4 will be dead ~Q4 2025.

No need for the expensive S58
BMW has got a few S55s sitting in a warehouse thats collecting dust
I feel like this is more realistic than BMW giving them the S58. With that said, the S55 sounds quite bad. I know its all personal taste, but when I had my F82, the exhaust sound was bad. Even with a full MPE exhaust and few different setups, the B58 sounds better.

Anyone thinking a GRMN Supra would cost $70-80k is borderline delusional. No idea what Toyota would do engine wise, be it a massaged S58 or a thoroughly worked over B58, but GRMN cars are low volume, quite a bit of CF, thorough suspension work and pricey. I honestly expect it landing $85-95k if it manages to come in under $100k. I also believe their is room for a GT4 street car that isn't quite as rare as a GRMN, but I not sure we'd see that happen at this point.

Yea I've owned 2 F80s
Had the Dinan axle back with their midpipe and it was tolerable, but not good
One of the reasons I sold it

The GRMN is always twice as much as the base car

haven't been on here in a while but I gave my dealer a deposit for the GRMN edition. Its refundable if it doesn't happen and they sell at msrp with no sneaky mark ups. The stock S58 with just a tune puts down over 600hp that's outstanding. On My 2020 B58 that i currently run with almost full Boltons it's making 630hp. Imagine how much power you could put down with S58 full Bolt Ons. If your over 600hp with just a tune.

Somehow I don't see 100K toyota with an S58 going on sale during a recession. If the GRMN does come i'd expect the latest B58 TU2 with port injection, sticky tires and some suspension tuning with nice badges.

To me a targa seems more realistic based on the platform.
