Sorry, very excited to pick up the car.
This is getting painful....I can’t take it any longer. I am gonna contact my dealer today and try to pry something out of them....I will let ya know if I learn anything interesting...
Even though I’m not getting an LE... I’m excited for you guys too!
Great attitude EngineeredSupra.. Nice to see you and others celebrate in someone else's happiness. Rare these days!
Got in contact with my salesman, he wouldn’t confirm anything, but said the date sounds right and the dealership should be getting the car this week!!
(Can’t the dealership easily look and see where the car is in the delivery process??)
On a normal car the answer would be yes, but I know our ETA has been changed 3 times in the last week. Information has really been far and few between. Only yesterday did we find out that we cant sell the cars till the 22nd, regardless of when they arrive. I'm sure your dealer would love to give you the exact date but it's been tough recently. I know it's not a great answer or one that really helps but it's been the reality recently.
Well, I placed my bets on the 22nd...hoping that was a safe bet.
Heywood, you are in the Chicago region, correct? Does that likely mean that most other cars for that region are suffering from the same ETA issues?
My guess is that Toyota had to change the delivery dates to the 17-22 (mine was originally 10-15) in order to keep dealers from delivering the car early to the owners. Now that does not mean that when the car gets to the dealer, let's say the 19th or 20th, they won't release. But at least now Toyota has communicated to hold till the 22nd. I know the cars have been on hold at distribution in my region for a good 2-3 weeks. Maybe they will start moving tomorrow.
The red LE at my local dealer (which I passed on) was built 5/13 and they won't get it until 8/1. I wasn't able to track that one's shipping so I don't know when it got to the US, but I am sure it's sitting at one of the US ports, since later builds have already gotten here. 6/15 builds are just starting to arrive in the US.
I just wanna know if my car is at the dealership so I can finally see a Supra.
Yes I'm in the Chicago region, all I've been told is that they will be able to sell on the 22nd. So I think it should be ok but we really don't know
Cool. I'm starting to think twice about buying one. If i don't get one I might go for the Lexus LC 500 instead.
I just talked with my dealer today via text my White LE Is in Princeton Indiana on a train Yard. It's heading to Memphis TN. With an expected delivery date of July 17-22nd
Does anybody actually have a firm appointment set on Monday at X time for delivery??
Starting to think some of these deliveries are going to be delayed...
Seems dealerships aren’t willing to set a firm delivery appointment and some don’t even know where the car is in the delivery process...
Please change my mind. I need some positive energy.
Well up here in Alaska they have 3 new Supras inbound. Two of the three have been spoken for and the only one available is in Nitro Yellow. The cars will be here in 2 weeks and they have a dealer markup of $25K! Bringing the total of the car to $82K
