I'm using AMS and haven't had any issues. I did add some extra pieces of adhesive before install.

I like the way it has that piece that curves downward on the side mirror post to help blend things in.

Been rockin the AMS ones for over a year now. No wind noise windows up or anything. Plus i love how the design is more subtle than the others. Cherry on top is it matches the carbon on the mirror caps too lol

I went with the hypersonic ones from Amazon and got 2 with and 2 without logo.

Hypersonic Black Car Door Edge Guard Trim Molding Crash Scratch Protector 4PCS https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NCK6STT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_M6N2KC0YWS7V464RW3MR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I have no buffering at any speeds unless I’m turning but it is nowhere near as without.
Before I installed them I was playing with the effect of blocking the buffering by just putting my knuckles and seeing how the effect changed. I think placement is important with these at least IMO. What I don’t like is the way they look. On the flip side, they are so low profile that I forget they are there unless I’m looking for them.

Any thoughts on these? I think they are the same Ebay ones that you guys posted pics of above, but carbon fiber. The shape looks identical as far as I can tell.

Any thoughts on whether these are going to be junk or not? I'd hope they are at least decent for $168. I do like the idea of matching the carbon fiber mirrors caps.

As it is, I already have both the AMS solution (gloss black) and also the AWE ones sitting on a shelf. I originally did try to AMS solution but removed them as I didn't get them fitted as cleanly as possible.

I’ve just received the ones from ebay and they look great. The color is better than AMS, the build quality looks good, the tape is included and not applied.
They came to LA in just three business days via dhl.
Now I need to find strength to take AMS ones off. I know those do the job and they are sitting well (but not ideal). We’ll see.

OP your #4 appears to be the ones I have, I don't think mine had a brand name and they cost 50 or 60 bucks. Work perfect even at waaaaaay above 100 MPH :)

I'm not sure if anyone is interested but I've been testing a 3d printed wind buffeting piece on my 21' for a few months. So far it's been working great on the street and the track at ~40, ~60, and only starts to be less effective at 100+. The ones in the picture are a slight redesign (slightly larger and a slant cut on top) to see if I can get them to be a bit more effective at 100+. As of now I have a black PLA+ that gives a satin look and I do have a glossy black PETG to try.

I have the AMS gloss black ones and the wind buffeting comes back at 90mph+. Anyone else experiencing this?

I've been using the Hypersonic door edge guards for a few months and they're ok for the price but I still start noticing buffetting above 50mph. All of your comments convinced me to finally order the eBay ones.

My experimental solution is not gloss black, or remotely pretty at all for that matter, buuutt.... It only cost me five minutes of my time, and works perfectly at all speeds, even 120+ mph.

Good choice. It looks like it's not only the cheapest 'all speed' option, but also the most elegant one.

The AMS ones added a bunch of wind noise with the windows up for me, but they do work with totally canceling out the buffeting.
Yeah there's noticeable wind noise at 70 and above. It sounds like my window is a little opened. I get no buffeting up to 80 mph. I haven't tried opening my windows above 80 mph.

Just put the AMS ones on over the weekend and they work really well although I haven't been above 70 with them yet. Color match is spot on I think.

My only caution is watch where the tape aligns before you stick it. On both sides I can see about 1/4" of tape when I'm sitting in the car. I didn't notice it when I stuck them since I was standing outside the car obviously.

Now I'll have to remove and reinstall eventually since they will drive me nuts otherwise. Not sure how tough that's going to be and hoping I can do it without damaging anything.

I have the cheapo hypersonic ones and they take care of the buffeting completely for me. Also you don't feel like your window is cracked when its closed. I bought a few pairs and stashed them away...guess seeing your post glad i did. However they've been on for a year now....and in the Sun..and in the car washes...Still look OEM and Still look great.
