All gears are available in Sport Mode, and saying different is 100% mistaken. Sport mode simply holds on to lower gears longer to keep the rpm and responsiveness up - ready for romping.

Sport mode is, IMO, pretty much pointless UNLESS you’re romping AND need that extra tiny bit of performance. The programming and tranny are so damn awesome that there’s very little delay in bringing all of the ponies to bear when the go pedal hits the floor. Ditto the suspension. It’s so good that there’s very rarely a need for that last few percent of handling.

Personally and given the above, I am in Normal Mode 99.99% of the time as there’s no objective (performance-based) need to beat up the car with extra wear and tear. Subjective (ego/jollies-based) needs are a different thing though, and to each his own there.
I agree with this. Sport mode gets you that extra kick by staying on the gears longer and at higher revs. But why add stress to the engine if you can enjoy a smoother run with all eight gears on the more docile normal driving mode?

I initially drive in Normal until everything's warmed up then switch to Sport. But I've been enjoying Sport+ now that I've coded for it and configured Sport Individual with normal settings on all but steering for around town.

I kick back into Normal when on the highway cruising.

I am in sports mode and manual shift mode all the time. But my 'all the time' only adds up to 1200 miles in a year so perhaps my car is in Park all the time..

I've had it since last August and have only 1800 miles on it.

Haha, well ok then! :)

I'm actually sad that I don't drive mine as much as I'd like to.

I hope so too.

Especially after AA finally delivers my long-awaited DP.

Would 0-60 and 1/4 mile be the same in both sports and normal?
Curious.
I don't think so because you can use launch mode in sports mode.. I've not used launch mode however because I don't want to appear as if I need to use the men's room..

What exactly does Sport+ add?

Yeah same here.
I was thinking in normal mode may be best 1/4 mile runs as it moves quickly through the 8 gears whilst sports probably is best for the 0-60 runs as you use more of the gear to redline.
I have definitely noticed sports is much faster for the short quick fire runs 0-40/60.
