I need to buy stock in Plastidip before this is released, since the first mod should be to black out the overbite.

I also posted this on the Z forum as well, but before shit hits the fan and thread gets derailed by the same handful of trolls... It doesn't have to be a "us vs them" mentality. With the ever shrinking sport cars segment let's all be thankful that we didn't get a CUV with the Supra and Z nameplate slapped on the rear (I'm looking at you Ford and Mitsubishi).

I agree but unfortunately that’s not how the Internet and social media works lol. Almost all the YouTubers are labeling the videos “New Z is here, RIP Supra” or something similar. I watched Raiti’s ride talk his ishh about the Supra during his first look at the Z.

Well social media is powerful. It caused so many people who don't even care about cars to hate the Supra before anyone drove it

I honestly don’t get what the fuss is all about. The new Z is a mash up of the 350/370 with a Q50 engine swap. Compare interior pictures and it’s literally a 370 with a body kit on it.

I’ve already had a few people ask me about it and I tell them the same thing.

the Supra is going to eat these things alive right out of the gate. We have a better transmission, better tires, better brakes, better suspension, better build quality, the better engine.

0-60 in 3.9 seconds. Slap on a couple of bolt ons, change up the gasoline, get it a full tune and you’re looking at 500+ WHEEL HORSEPOWER.

the Z is no comp.

BUT I can assure you it’ll be a very fun car to drive and great car to own. Competition is good, I’m glad manufacturers are still giving us sports cars right in the middle peak of the Karen’s and Kevin’s complaining all the damn time about everything.

glad to see this making its rounds. But it’ll be unwise to put it up against the Supra. All you would be buyers will feel incredibly salty when a Supra pulls up next to you and makes an example out of you lol ( especially if you treaded your Supra in for one)

to each their own!

I know I hear a lot of folks clamoring about the Z having a manual so I'm anxious to see the take rate by transmission. I believe initially the manual will be higher in year one and then the auto will completely annihilate the sales in the long run(especially if the acceleration difference is around .5 second). People always bitch about manuals going away but they need to put up or shut the hell up IMHO!!!

Manual will be popular.
Everyone thinks they can shift fast and that it makes them cool.

I do miss rowing gears absolutely- but bow to the quickness of paddles on the track.
