Manual will be popular.
Everyone thinks they can shift fast and that it makes them cool.

I do miss rowing gears absolutely- but bow to the quickness of paddles on the track.
It will be, it just won’t sell as much as the automatics will. Most of the people who complained about the Supra being auto only weren’t in the market of being able to own one… same thing will happen with the Z if it’s starting at 40K.

It's also just more fun, but agree. I'm also bowing on the track. There's just no competition to a modern automatic.

Hopefully this is last time we hear of him with the Supra and he sells it ASAP. I am so happy he is selling it!!! Thank you so much for doing all of us a favor!!!!
I've enjoyed some of his videos. A lot of it is also clickbait though.

He has a tuned Supra and a tuned GTR. With all recent locking of factory ECUs, he may be in for rude awakening if the Z is "locked" to 400hp. :dunno:

I honestly don’t get what the fuss is all about.
I think the hinted $38k price for the based model is appealing to a lot of people that are most likely just going to keep it as a stock daily. The Z has been the like the JDM Mustang if you will. A decent affordable all around car for the mass.

I actually had the option of waiting for the Z or getting the Supra but what sold me on the Supra over the Z was looks.

Rear end I like both but the Supra's rear was far more appealing. Supra = 10/ Z = 7

Side profile was a hit between both cars Supra = 10/Z =10

Front view is where it cost the Z massively! Supra=9/ Z=5

The curb weight played a role as well since I like my car's lighter but not necessarily all about power. 2.0 Supra 3180 lbs vs possible 3400+ lb Z. But if the front end looks were better and the weight somehow the same as a 2.0 it would be hard to choose the Supra at the same price of entry unless the Z's dynamics were trash

I think that's a fair assessment. The Supra will out perform it, but the Z is a heck of a lot cheaper.

I love that sports cars are still alive and some legends are returning. I hate how the Z reveal has turned into some “Supra is dead” hate. To be clear, it’s mostly internet keyboard warriors who probably won’t own either car.
The guys I work with that talk manual stuff are married and not allowed to even have a sports car so it cracks me up. I imagine that’s the case for most talking online.

I can’t wait to see the new Z on the road. At least from the rear because I hate that front lol.

Really curious to see what the weight and stock 0-60 times are. My experience with Z owners is that...yeah, they're more like Mustang and Camaro people, who are in it for cheap power and brand loyalty. Which is fine, but definitely not my jam. Also, someone mentioned the ECU potentially being locked, and that really brings up a question about what Nissan and others have been doing with sports cars. Is the Civic Type-R locked?

Anyway, it'll be an entertaining time next year, once people actually get their hands on the new Z, and all the Youtubers start putting them around tracks. I've seen so many arguments about the Type-R being better than X, Y and Z because so and so Youtuber's lap chart has it going around faster.

Guy wants people to think he knows what he is talking about and says the Supra is Twin Turbo. Also, the weights are off a bit;

Per google;
21' Supra Curb Weight = 3,304 lb (53/47%)
20' Nissan 370z Curb Weight = 3486 lbs

Really wish these reviewers researched just a little before making videos for the internet to latch onto and preach as gospel.
