Cool. I've only seen two ever. They sound cool, but you must've not heard many exhaust notes if it's the most heavenly you've heard. They're average sounding at best.
It's pretty small tbh

Would there be enough space for an adult in the back?
I mean I have only my little Golf an see rarely any 2+2 coupes. So it's hard for me to imagine the space in the back.
I would prefer a 2+2 setup just for the possibility to have the two extra seats when we travel in bigger groups.
But that train has left the station.
I was able to fit 2 grown adults in back of my Supra. It was tight! I had to move my seat close to the steering wheel but it is definitely very doable. The people in the back was very uncomfortable and had to turn their heads to the side in order not to hit the top of the car each time I hit a bump. I wish the new Supra still retained the 2+2 setup. I guess Toyota decided not to do so was to achieve the 50/50 ratio.

Lol, the MKIV rear seats are quite useless. I am short 5'7, and unless you have no legs you cannot sit behind me. It really is only acceptable for children. I felt bad for my friends in the rear seat. So realistically as much as I'd like a 2+2 I don't think I would miss it too much.

With every generation of Supra the back seat room got smaller. It's almost appropriate that the 5th generation they would disappear altogether.

Besides, if they want backseats, cross shop it with an 86

I have an A60, A70 and A80, and had a GT86 too.

A60/GT86 rear seats = ok for small trips/occasional trips (maybe up to an hour or so?) Close to 6 foot tall and you're in for a bent neck though.
A70 rear seats = slightly less than A60, wouldn't go longer than 30 mins. headroom cramped, need to lean over (I'm 6'0"
)
A80 back seats = bullshit small, legs need to go on opposite side of car, zero headroom if you are over 5'5", maybe for a well behaved pet or an amputee.

I'm glad they're gone in the A90, gives me faith that it will be a balls-out sportscar

When I was 12, I sat in the back of my brother's MKIV from Dallas to Houston, roughly about 4-5 hours drive. It is still to this very day, the most uncomfortable I've ever been in my entire life lol.

There's some games that can change you on that matter.

But good to know that they didn't eschew the backseats just cause. There was no practicality at all.

The following is a list of details and specs of the MKV Supra in US-spec. These details are unconfirmed, but are from a valid origin.

  • 3.0l Turbo I6, 335hp/369lb-ft
  • 0-60: 4.5 seconds
  • ~3300 lbs
  • ~$63.5K USD MSRP
  • Heads-up Display, Lane assist, Pre-Collision warning, Navigation, Parking assist, etc as standard.
  • Our rendered images are fairly accurate to the real car. Small details are different.
  • Side mirrors are the BMW-esque 3-series takeoffs that we all complained about, blacked out.
  • New Supra badge.
  • Grey and Red "GR" badge on rear of car.
  • Wheels are 19” two-tone split 5 spokes. Likely the ones found here:
    2019-Toyota-Supra-spyshots-4.jpg
  • Body fender “vents” are fake, both front and rear.
  • Interior is objectively quite nice:
  • Seats are black leather sports seat. Nice stitching and accents.
  • High-quality materials. Nice plastics. Lexus level quality
  • Center console has a BMW-style screen with iDrive. UI is reskinned slightly.
  • Instrument cluster is fully digital. Physical readouts flank the screen around it
  • Radio/HVAC controls similar to BMW, but separated into two separate stacks.
  • Steering wheel is standard BMW wheel with Toyota logo.
  • HVAC vents are nice, thin like newer Lexuses with a splash of chrome.
  • Overall dashboard is a good look, quality interior. Shape and style is different to Z4.
  • The auto shifter looks similar to BMW.
  • Standard iDrive controls left of the shifter.
  • Overall interior is bespoke, not the same as Z4, more sporty. But shares some switchgear.
  • The car has a Heads Up Display
  • There is a rear strut bar in brushed aluminum.
I will update this post if the information changes.

I want to just reiterate, this information is not from a vetted source and not from myself or any of our forum insiders. I do not know if this some sort of misinformation strategy or even an elaborate trolling, but the background checked out and so here is the info presented as it was given to me.
The price indicated can be change if a tariff of up to 25 percent on imported cars for US.
~$63.5K USD MSRP + 25% = ~$79.4 K USD MSRP

Thanks Guff. For us Canadians though, holy crap with the tariff added at $79,400 converted today that is $105,000 CND...even higher potentially as the same car us is always more over US models...
