I wish, honestly I would, there is one with the same amount of miles for 349 shipped. I would pay that out of pocket tbh
I wasn’t sure if you could potentially swap in the eBay one just so you can drive the car in the mean time. Unless they’re holding onto the car in the mean time but I wouldn’t be super thrilled to leave my car at a dealership for “potential months”

Unfortunately it is already disassembled partially at the dealer on the lift, which takes them like half an hour on its own cause of how low it is... It is not going anywhere

And here I'm thinking I've had a bad day.
Slipped and fell on black ice first time ever.
Then coming back from Costco, store prepped chicken soup spilled in the trunk. Spent an hour cleaning.
Hope you get your part soon. Sucks that it happened right before an event. Totally kills the fun... There's some astronomy, astrology, astrowhatevs that played a role here. Bigger calling.

I feel like BMW's/MKV Supras are just destined to be oversteering, no traction having, I haven't used 1st gear in over a year mad max vehicles. Adding stickier tires seem to cause more harm than good from what I've come across unless you have a built drivetrain.

You should try a 1/2 gallon of spilt milk in the trunk. That was my experience in the first 24 hours or so of ownership. Lasted a good 2-3 months... hours of cleaning does not make up for the smell.

The thing is, I am not even on a slick or radial, just a wider variant of the stock tire. Stock 275 to a 305 Michelin Pilot super sport, it is not like it is that sticky, car still lights up 1 and 2nd gear normally...oh well guess I just have to be more careful

Sorry to heat that man. Did you at least make a trip to Bmw Invasion? It was a pretty nice turnout and overall a great event. I regret not keeping my MKV long enough to bring it down for the event.

Good luck! Glad that it seems to be a relatively easy fix. I would glady have that over breaking axles or a diff.

I made it an hour away before my best friend managed to drop the keys to his m4 in the ocean... so needless to say, I did not make it to the event, def a bummer but oh well, everything happens for a reason! I did not know you sold your MKV? What is next and yes def better than broken axle

Sorry to here the FakeTaxi is out of commission. Hopefully the new one comes in really soon.

I would consider going to beefier axles too now that you’re running bigger tires. That will be the next area to break.

She's back luckily! I don't think axles are too much of a concern because I won't do digs and my 305's are not radials, just pilot super sports like stock just wider

I’ve seen aftermarket driver shafts for the Supra, but I’ve never heard of anyone upgrading. Is that overkill?

Depends on power. Lots of high HP guys need them. When the drive shaft breaks (you need a drive shaft loop, too), well.. it sits right below the fuel tank.
