The rears are easy until reassemble. It takes maybe 15 minutes total to remove the rear shock once the spring is out, it's only held in by 3 bolts that are very low torque. Once it's out, hit the perch bolt with an impact until it comes off and then you have straight access to the dust boot and bump stop. I think this will be easier than trying to finesse the bump stop out of the dust boot and down the shock body far enough to cut it. Once that's done just reassemble the shock and put it back into place.No just the fronts, I’m doing the rears later this week. I’ll see if I can get to them for trimming but I’ll anticipate pulling the shock out. No big deal. The rears don’t loo too bad.
I pray you don't have the issue I had when reassembling the rear. My bottom shock mount wouldn't line up with the bottom hub mount pivot hole and it caused me some serious grief. I had to go buy a pry bar and cry in a corner until I finally got it to work.
