Peaking at 5700 is not the same thing as dead at 5700. You don't shift at the peak, you shift after the peak in order to maximize the power under the curve.
Theory vs practice. Pick a lane, though. We'll settle this after school in the playground. :)

That's -really- high. Stock turbo is dead at ~5700.
Looking at my stock dyno, power fell flat at 6400rpms.
Now I'm on 93/e30, intake and downpipe. Haven't dynoed yet to see the power curve

If I read this right or I assume so. The power dies off at 6400rpms and thats where it needs to shift right?

The curve falls off a cliff like that because the tester let off the gas at 6400 and so everything dropped to 0. But it was pretty flat up there anyway, so that's probably a fine time to shift.

Those that used the Thor dongle, did you have issues with it connecting on iOS. It will find the WiFi network but will not detect it in the xhp software.

I used the Thor dongle and a problem that I kept running into is that the wifi would auto reconnect back to my car. After I turned the auto reconnect off it stayed connected to the Thor dongle.

Well after getting irritated with the phone, went out and attempted with the IPad and it hooked right up with no issue. Less then 10 minutes start to finish including adjusting throttle blip, and rpm limits.

So whether you buy from Visconti, RBT or Speed Industry, the 3 OTS maps are all the same, right?

Also, regarding the harsh 3>2 downshift that was supposedly fixed with V1.1, is that on map 2 or 3?

What "custom settings" is everyone using/updating? I was just gonna flash map 2 as is then map 3 to try out after a while.

Yes all OTS maps are the same.
Yes no more harsh 3>2 on v1.1 Feel like maybe they took a lil too much out, but the great feature is its fully customizable.

I changed
shift map editor: sportive+ / Neutral
throttle blips M-Mode: ON (but all set to 0 as I'm still testing)
gear display: ON
tq limits per gear: ON (standard)

Correct

I bought from Visconti and flashed map 2 v1.0 (there is no v1.1 on map 2) yesterday. Shifts are perfect, both faster and smoother than stock, not sure how that’s possible, but no 3->2 harshness at all.

My only complaint is that when you put the pedal to the floor and trigger the kick down switch, it overrides the custom max RPM settings and reverts back to the stock shift points. Anyone know a way to bypass that so it uses the custom max RPM whether or not the kick down switch has been triggered? I’d rather not remove the switch but can if it comes to that.

I would imagine there may be some fix coming for the kick down issue. 9 times out of 10 I'm driving sport/manual so I had never noticed the kick down issue.
