Mark was trying so hard to make the Z sound better. but his co presenter and the race car driver sided with the Supra. The biggest nonsense is when he said "you feel like you are sitting on top of the Supra by comparison". Also he never liked the Supra being BMW built.

I think Nissan's biggest mistake was pricing the Z Performance at $50k. When they first came out with the trims, I figured the Z Performance would be $45k. That was the car I was going to get, because it would've been $11k less than the Supra 3.0 Premium which would've been the trim I'd want. It was clear that the Supra would be the better car but at $56k it was out of my budget. But when the Z Performance came out at $50k, it made me realize that I should just stretch my budget and get the better car.

thats the thing if the perf z came in maybe around 45ish or less no one would of batted a eye at the performance difference

They've already started with that

" lol what a convenient bs to say. nissan has one of the richest performance history with nismo. gtr was beating sht out of bmw when it was released, in both accel and price. i also would be happy to see what you ll say if/when nismo version will be more powerful than 397bhp and around supra price "

I finally finished their video. I'm not really a SG fan, to me Mark always has these biased opinions that others don't really agree with or feel the same. When you are an auto blogger/reviewer you are supposed to be as unbiased as possible. I get it, you truly never can be but just like in here he once again speaks about his loathing of BMW handling. most of the things he stated on the track portion the actual race car driver didn't agree on. (both did agree that the Z had the more old school sports car handling feel) If I wanted a "old school" feeling car, I'd go buy a old school sports car and save the money. I know there are people that want that, and the Z will fit that. I think many people love the way BMW cars handle. I also not sure why they had no issue with adding brake pads and fluid to the Z, but didn't want to add a alignment to the Supra. I know as many on here do as well, the Supra handles soooo much better once you get a proper alignment.
Haha that didn't take long. That's their last glimmer hope that the Nismo version is any better. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. But one thing's for sure, it'll be minimum $15K more than the current top end Z, so these buffoons thinking it's going to cost the same as a Supra are going to be sticker shocked.

And yeah most of this video was really him being a Z apologist. It's mind blowing for him to act like the soft ass suspension on the Z is a good thing, and come up with the old "If it had XYZ mods it would be better" well no shit, but that beats the point of comparing cars out of the box.

Overall though, the message of the video was at least clear. The Supra is faster, more advanced, and can do track days on stock pads and fluids and not have fuel cutoff at 50% lmao

(Oh and eliminating the tire excuse since they were both using the same tires)

I like savage geese but I knew from his prior videos that he doesn’t think that well of the Supra. Objectively they proved the Supra is the better car in every measurable metric but still end with “I still prefer the Z”.

He's either biased as hell, or Nissan paid quite a bit.

Glorified Z4 vs Glorified Q60... gimme the z4 all day lol.

Jokes aside, he's complaining about the driver disconnect in the supra and I feel like that's all people harp on with modern german cars. It's kinda getting old. I can't understand why people don't like when a car picks up some of the slack. I'm not even sure how it's a viable complaint, it just sounds a bit silly. This should not be a dig at all lol

Sure there's something to be said for the way that a car drives/feels and what's on paper doesn't tell the whole story, but in this case its a cop out and making excuses for the loser lolol

Yup, i lost respect and credibility for the other fellow who was riding the Z's nuts hard. Like i get it, being in denial is a thing, but drop the pride cause your co-presenter and the test driver both clearly showed you which car was superior.. never really liked SG as automotive journalist since that one guy is so hell bent in the Supra being a BMW, but hey, if it's bringing him money and food for the table, do your thing. 🤷🏽‍♂️
