I remember him talking about "driving feel". Did he actually say it was a "drivers car"? I can't view the video from work, to review. ?
Just making fun of SG. The guy in this video said the steering was awful.

I get him being controversial for the sake of views... But he may have gone a bit far this time. Usually it's funny, this was painful. I gave up after the luggage incident. LOL

am I the only one thinking he can easily just store the luggage case vertically rather than horizontally? I really wasn't sure if this was exaggerated or not.

Yikes, on stock tires it's actually slower than the GR86, that's bad. Even with new tires (from the SG review), the Z's track time is closer to the GR86 than it is to the Supra.

So now the narrative shifts again. The Z is not a Supra killer, it's not a straight line car, it's not a track car, it's not a sports car. You can't drive it at the limit, it's bouncy and unpredictable, the transmission grinds when shifting into 2nd, and the exhaust is quiet and lacks emotion. That's a lot you'd have to fix to make it an enjoyable car to drive IMO.
You heard it here first, it's not a car either.

Exaggerated to make a point, yes. Poking fun at the Supra. It was comical, though. I literally LOLed.

The Throttle House review I thought was very fair -- most of their content is pretty level-headed. I've never watched mother goose or whatever before now. The technical info and track comparo was excellent. The commentary from the dude with the blatant, pathological anti-Supra/BMW bias was embarrassing (for him). Dude's hate boner was showing...

Looking forward to what the Nismo will bring.

I can only imagine how much better the 2021 Supra would've done if it had proper tires instead of these shopping cart wheels it comes with stock. The Cup2s I have on mine have made a major, major difference.

The M5CS is also a bit of a shocker.

Noice, after a few track days on these stock tires I'm definitely looking forward to slapping on some new tires too.

The Supra lacks nothing in driver feel. Anyone that says different is clueless.
You want lack of driver feel? Drive a Dodge Challenger, then come talk lol.
My take is that - for a modern car - the Supra communicates very well. Like many of you, I enjoy nibbling away at the limits (the car’s and mine!), and the Supra has never surprised me with its handling dynamics.

Is the steering constantly chattering away like an old skool car with hydraulic (or - gasp - manual) steering? No, that’s the nature of ePAS, even when it’s got good weighting, ratio, etc. But - do you instantly know when the Supra is starting to slide? Yep. No mistaking understeer (in any car) or those first few degrees of rotation at the business end. But it’s all so predictable.

When I’m caning the Supra in some favorite haunts, I love the whiff of understeer I feel when turning in sharply (on maintenance throttle). It’s this momentary reminder of the car’s near perfect weight balance, and unless you’re really going too fast the front bites hard as you continue the turn.

I will say this - the Supra did take a little longer than my 86 before I felt comfortable approaching it’s limits. It took me longer to trust. But I also hit the autox earlier in the 86, so I had a safe playground early on. And once you do learn the Supra’s limits - it’s a car that always feels like it’s on your side, unless you do something very boneheaded.

My thinking on the Supra as a “driver’s” car is:
To get the most out of it, you have to be a good driver, respect the car’s power, and trust in the inherent awesomeness of the chassis, eDiff, and tires (yes even PSS).

If you’re deliberate with your inputs and don’t mind oversteer as an essential part of the car’s personality, you’ll love it. The limited exterior view does take getting used to. But if you’re an experienced driver you’re already well versed in looking where you want to go. In a way, the Supra’s batmobile windows force me to really focus on vision when I’m exercising my inner demons. And I’ve had no issues looking out the side windows at a 120* opposite cone while driven in “anger” autox.
