Does xhp work well with jb4 custom tune? Just got my tune dialed in and I’m thinking about it to eke out a bit more

Yep. Running a custom 93 tune on the JB4 and xHP stage 3. It all does fine together. I can't think of anything tune/JB4-related that really wouldn't work well with xHP...

Seriously has no one else had a problem flashing xhp?
Mine fails every time. Supra has been immobile for the last 5 days thanks to XHP flashes failing.

I followed the instructions - I have used xhp on previous cars so I know how tempermental/finicky it can be. I have tried flashing via iphone/samsung/windows and using the xhp and mhd dongles, and none of that has worked.

I find it unlikely that I'm the only person to be in this situation.

Mine failed once, but I just tried again during the same session and it went through. Were you using a battery charger when you did it?

I’ve also had a failed flash before, now I am really careful to use airplane mode and close all other apps.

when my flash failed I just tried again and successfully was able to recover.
I suggest you reach out to xhp directly for help, but if it’s immobile that’s no good.

Yeah, it's for sure picky. Not encountered an app to interface with the car that's quite as specific as it's requirements are for when it will and won't work. I haven't had a failed flash yet, though. But it's been a minute since I've tried. That doesn't sound fun.

Finally flashed mine. 100% exactly what I was hoping for. Although the tq limiter being removed has now left 3rd gear being halfway useless unless the tires are warm.

Had the same experience. Even worse now that it's cold outside. Rolling burnouts in 3rdngear are fun though, right?

The first time I laid into the throttle, the car went sideways haha. It normally hooks in 3rd so it caught me off guard. But ya, the cold weather doesnt help at all with 200tw tires. They hate it!

I've had issues flashing my own car twice, once when I was returning it back stock to go get some warranty work, and I didn't want anything to affect anything else, and then again when putting back the flash. both times it was like the phone, app, or dongle timed out after a while. I restarted and then flash went right in. It was like after it backed up the stock cal. and then went to flash the stg2 flash in

I did have a charger on the car. I just have no idea what in the hell the issue is at this point.

I reached out to xhp, they have been less than helpful. I sent logs from every device, and over the course of 5 days the only "troubleshooting" they provided was going back through the instructions - which I sent several videos of me following.
This morning they asked for logs, logs that I mentioned having already sent in several emails.

I was -finally- able to get it returned to stock yesterday. It took about 90 minutes of me standing there, reconnecting to the xhp dongle's wifi, and hitting retry. Each iteration going just a tad further than the previous.

Mine is a '21, locked dme (not that it should matter).

Does anyone know where the logs are stored on phone/pc? I'd like to look at them myself.

Yep even with 315s... If I am in 3rd at 2500rpm and nail it, it instantly roast them. If I roll into the throttle, its ok until I hit any sort of bump.

And ya its freezing out here, you know like low 50s haha

Haha 50. It's supposed to be 10 here tomorrow and that's not even cold for here.
