A bit keen here, I admit, but given ongoing supply chain issues and reduced production numbers, I'm starting to consider what I do in Spring 2024 when my 0% PCP is up.

I'm working on the basis that interest rates will reduce from the current 9/10% on offer.

Has anyone else considered their next move after the Supra? Or what did you move to?

My current thinking.

1) Lotus Emira. UK deliveries started late 2022 with some mixed feedback on the Emira forums. It's currently a 60 week lead time so would need to reserve now. I'm not sure it will feel like a big enough jump from the Supra but it looks great. Can finally get a Toyota engine.

2) V8 Vantage. I've always wanted a British Racing Green car with cricket ball leather interior. Big jump though.

3) Buy the Supra outright and be happy with my lot.

4) 911 Targa - the dream.

Depends how i feel and circumstances nearer the time, i may just get another supra i will definitely get another one if they do a supra targa, but I'm thinking BMW M240i in thundernight purple. i think the new M2 is overpriced and not much more performance over the xdrive M240i. Other than that maybe a second hand GTR, I'd like an Aston, or supercar but probably out my price range 😅

I had a M240i on custom order and let my parents take the car. It a better daily driver but you will be disappointed with steering feel, engine sound, touchscreens, and overall less specialness. But its still a great car and better fitted for colder places.

It's more of 'what's in addition to' the Supra. This thing is entirely unsellable right now, and will probably stay that way. Alright, if this built motor pops this year... @Jesse DaBears and I are gonna throw and LS in it.

I alternate car purchases, the next one up is a replacement for my 2012 WRX. It needs to be AWD, turbo, hatch, and manual, I'm thinking maybe a GR Corolla. After that would be the Supra replacement, but that's probably another 10 years down the road. Who knows what cool toys might be out then. Or maybe ICE cars will be gone by then, in which case the Supra just might keep its spot in my garage for quite a bit longer than that.

Now you are speaking my language! Let me know when you are ready. Got a couple 2500hp builds kicking around, one in a drag Miata....

I’ve only had the Supra for a couple months and am obsessed with it but my realistic dream car is the Emira. Beyond that, I’d like to own a Porsche one day but they don’t really have the wow factor for me in the looks department. The only ones that really appeal to me are the ones that are basically impossible to get.

I have an older V8 Vantage. My plan was to enjoy it for a year or two and then sell it for something else, repeat. I can't bring myself to get rid of it. The engine sounds amazing at high RPM. It's extremely sexy. It has pretty much all the luxury items at any new car has. It's a two seater, it's manual transmission. I love it and will probably keep until one of us dies.
The newer ones don't quite have the same sound, but still very cool. Occasionally I think about updating, but I can't bring myself to get rid of the six-speed 😂
Onto your next point, the one car I may sell all my toys for would be a GT3. I am very seriously shopping 2015 to 2016 GT3s.
If I wouldn't have just picked up the Supra a few months ago, I would probably have one by now. Definitely my next car.

Another Supra of course! Had a 70 plate grey 3.O pro a year and a half ago. Sold it after a few months and replaced it with an MX5 Sport Tech 2.0 which is fab.
However when i saw the 2023 Special edition Supra MT it was a no brainer as it was a manual, new alloys and cognac interior plus the matt white paint, I could nt say no, so ordered a couple of months ago, should get it autumn all things being well - can't wait!

Thanks for the replies.

I've arranged test drives for an RS6, Vantage V8 and P575 F-Type convertible next week.

Now I have the sensible BZ4x I can go for something less practical for the weekends. The F-Type with its supercharged 5.0 V8 is quite appealing with upwards of £20k off cars with 1k miles on them.

The RS6 has always interested me and I've previously had an A6 estate, albeit a diesel. So it'll be fun to experience that form factor with 600PS.
