That is exactly the "this is a free country" statement...oh whatever. You are good bro, I am not gonna bother you about this anymore.
No, it's not (unless you just want to be dramatic) but glad to hear we're done.

Any mods worth doing while my front bumper is off? Hit a tire carcass on the way home from the track Tuesday night. The only one I can think of is one of the couple options for intakes. No sure they are entirely worth it though.
Air intake snorkel;

TripleSeven's dive planes dropped my PB by a full second, after balancing them out with more rear downforce.

The car on stock power is basically a mirror image of a '18 TCR on slicks now in terms of track performance (piloted by Tom O'Gorman) :
Dude you are a track monster ? Love the split video pic btw. Do you have a link to the triplesevens? I found these:

Well, I learned that tracking in the rain is not my idea of a good time.

I did two sessions and then left at lunch when the radar was still showing rain for the rest of the day.

Cars were going off track left, right, and center.
Damn that sucks George… For your 1st track day that would be horrible! Andy is right. A wet track is a premium you can pay for at a much later date. Definitely focus on regular (dry) car control limits & knowing your home track. Someday you may get the itch to get your track times down even further. That’d be the perfect time to drive in the wet. After driving on line, off line, passing anywhere on track is 2nd nature. And even then, as we‘re hearing from other experienced drivers, it’s daunting as hell. I was fortunate enough to do it with private instruction at the time. It was their idea. Not mine! So until then, totally get it! No need to push you or the car until you’re driving like garudathree above. Then again, I doubt I‘m driving like garudathree ? But I can drive with confidence in the rain or a wet track and not need to change my tires (they mad me do that too ?). Side benefit… that wet experience has saved me numerous times imo. ? happens, stuff breaks and it’s nice to be able to drive it off, so to speak. In your case, good job picking up quickly driving off line and keeping your wheel straight until you get (feel) grip.

We have a thing called taste of the track for $299 down here at Sebring. Everyone is on the same page, just starting, & they get to go on the skid pad (wet), and then a dry track. The track is clean (good point Jason/kaj) and it’s a great way to get started. Especially since it rains daily down here 6-8 months out of the year.

A wet skidpad with personal instruction actually sounds like a blast to me. Driving on a wet track by myself that has less grip than a regular wet road not so much. :dunno: It was raining on my way into work this morning and I remember going around corners and circles thinking "I'd be sliding right now if this was the track."

I don't think I'll ever get to the level of some of the people in here. I just like to have high speed fun legally every once in a while ?

Not a Corvette.
A reminder to always inspect your whole car after/before your next event. Found this issue today. Rear toe arm is broken. There is an inner piece here that the collar clamps onto to prevent the arm from being loose. This is obviously broken as the collar is cranked down and the arm is still able to move. This will eventually break the arm itself and be not good. I would not have caught this if I didn't have a habit of grabbing everything and twisting/pushing/pulling as I inspect the car.

Now to call in the morning and get a replacement asap as I have an event this coming weekend.

Man I need a lift in my garage. Jacking up the car 4 corners pre/post every track day is a chore...It would have been fine with 3 track days a year but every other weekend...

My mechanic does a Bryan check before each track weekend. I say that loosely because, no way will anyone be as thorough as Bryan is. Fantastic find on his part! I’m also wanting a lift now because of Bryan and his dadgum perfect build and all the shit he finds ? Off to the lift pages of this forum….

Quick Jacks my man, Quick Jacks. I can't even count how many times I've had my car in the air this summer, and being in my mid-40s with a bad back from the Army these things are a God send.

Man, it's a real shame you're nowhere near Lime Rock. They have an infield AutoX course with banking and curbs like a big track and wet skid pad. Sports Car Drivers Association (SCDA) does car control clinics there all 4-seasons. I did my first in snow/sleet/ice. ?

They want you to lose control of your car because there's essentially zero consequences. There's no fences or walls nearby, just grass. Learning how the car works with all of the nannies off trying to force the car to under/oversteer has been absolutely invaluable. Learning how to initiate - pause - recover when you're past the limit will make you a better driver, period.
