so you mean 3X times this supra? lol
For something from their GT lineup sure but that’s a little high to start off.
Im thinking more along the lines of a 991.2 carrera T. They can be had(for now) for about 115k.

Seems most of the used manuals I'm seeing on autotrader are at 60K or more. That's wild but this 80K, 75K nonsense for a special edition just makes me so sad....

Makes me more sad to think people are buying them at that cost or else the dealers wouldn't be trying. I saw my first GR Corrolla (circuit I believe) when I got my oil changed and the damn dealer had it marked up 20K with 5K of nonsense add ons. 65K for a corolla...was fun watching almost every customer looking at a highlander or something see that and start asking what the hell was going on with that car.

For something from their GT lineup sure but that’s a little high to start off.

I remember 15 years ago when Porsche prices weren't so ridiculous. Even a new base Carrera starts around 115K (under 400HP though clearly underrated) and even basic equipment can be expensive options...I know - inflation and all that but my relatively uneducated guess is the jump in their prices over time is probably a bit more than most other brands. Then again an E46 M3 may have been mid 50s new at one point and now a M3 base is like 76k so I'm probably wrong.

Yup, once upon a time a base Carrera was under 100k lol. I kept missing the bus on ownership, price climbs but my finances climb slower. I keep trying though. One of these days I'm gonna punch through this ceiling.

I have had a 944 turbo, new 911 and a 6speed cayenne. All great cars but if you really want one try a lease. I leased my 911 around 2004 and the lease was great, their strong residual value and third car status (
Low miles) made it about the same monthly price as my 6speed G35 sedan which was 40k fully loaded and my daily. I kept the cayenne and let me tell about Porsche maintenance after warranty. i did brakes, tires, clutch and a service which cost more than a cheap new car.

You know that's a really good idea.

I'm just saying give us a little bit more. Maybe the updated idrive, maybe a handle or latch in the back to open without the button, maybe the climate control to be in sync, etc. Give us something more not just the same with lipstick and a wing. I'd go M4, M2 or used Porsche at that price.
Now this I'm totally on board with and to be honest I'm truly disappointed on how Toyota have dealt with this entire program. Why would they settle? They only know. There's truly room for improvement per the items you have mentioned. It's not like Toyota (at least not the one I believe in) to be OK with releasing a car with the disparities associated with the BMW infused Supra. Yet, here we are owning them, because we love Supras and the heritage / bloodline. My main concern are those that knock individuals for liking and purchasing the 45th Anniversary GRS, although their opinion does not put money in anyone's pockets. The Supra Community should be about helping and up lifting each other for having a car in common...not sniping at each other like spoiled jealous kids. Yes, Toyota dropped the ball in allowing BMW to handicap the car with half baked interior options, even the horn sucks! For now let's love the JDM we have and as for the BMW portion... It is tolerable??? M cars are awesome and there's is some M car DNA to enjoy...although the short wheelbase has its issues.

Fuck the heritage. Fuck the bloodline. I bought a Supra because it's a good looking cut-price M car. If this was all Toyota it would've been handicapped by Toyota's design. It's no accident the Supra interior is leaps and bounds better than any other Toyota Toyota.

We don't get "Special Editions" here but from what I can tell, they aren't all that special. Outside of North America, the interior/exterior colours are available as a standard options. Sure, the wing is a point of difference but it doesn't do much for me, personally.

But who cares. If you like the car, buy it. Take my opinion (like everyone else's) for what it is; an opinion!

you can tie a rubber band on both and theyll both spin at once
? Not this again.

? Not this again.

Who cares? I care (which is all that matters) and permission has never been a consideration in my decisions in buying any of my cars. I love the styling of every supra I've owned and for a fact I'm sure if Toyota did do their own interior it would have made more sense than what's going on here. Business is business and sometimes everyone does not win. As far as being special, it is what it it is Special. Even you stated you "it's a good lookin M Car. " Toyota design BTW. Evidently you and I have different motives when buying a car... It is what it is.
