I paid 3k under sticker with the only contingency being that I used their financing. Was a pretty standard big bank deal with no early payoff penalty.

I did contact the dealership based on their allocation weeks before the vehicle arrived and it was in a Midwest state that I would say doesn’t have a huge sports car demand vs FL TX CA for example.

Same. I went in looking at 3.0, got a fully loaded 2.0 for 42,5, $5,500 under MSRP. My payment is just over $100/month. I sometimes wish I had a six cylinder for the sound/highway pulls, but my 2.0 is more than quick enough with a few mods and brings a smile to my face every time I look at it.

I've owned both 2.0 and 3.0 over the course of 2.5 years(1 year 2.0/1.5 year 3.0) and I will say handling easily favors 3.0 because the stock suspension on the 2.0 is way too soft vs having sport suspension on 3.0 but after I replaced the springs it was way better on the 2.0. Also the balance of the car is not better than the 3.0 because the 200 lb difference is not only in the b58. You lose some weight front to back. 50/50 is for both cars with a driver and 52/48 without. The 2.0 has slightly better turn in thanks to the motor size/weight difference. I loved my 2.0 and I'm glad to see folks pushing it because 346whp/413wtq in a 3176 lb sports car sounds lovely.

I had a friend pay <60k otr in 2023.... I sold myself mine for 42k in 2021, and had an insane trade credit.

Props to anyone modding and improving the 2.0 platform. The 2.0 gets so much hate its ridiculous. It’s refreshing to see something different on the same chasis.

I was quoting the figures that came directly from Toyota, and Motortrend(google MT first test of 2.0 Supra)tested the balance of the 2.0 and it was not 50/50 without a driver. I aslo disagree with the drives better part because the suspension difference alone makes the 3.0 feel more surefooted than the 2.0 stock suspension. Body roll was worse on the 2.0 until I added 1.2 firmer drop springs. Turn in is slightly better and the car felt slightly lighter but I wouldn't classify it as a world shattering difference like it was in my 86 that I had.

strange. I find the 2.0 feels worlds better on the street.
