The auto is faster than the supra and the auto weighs over 400lbs heavier too!

The auto Supra does 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, so it looks like the Supra has a slight edge in acceleration.

As disappointing as it is, I've accepted BMW just can't make good looking cars anymore.

It's a shame since most of the F generation was really good looking.

At least there's still a BMW that wasn't styled by them.

I agree bmw went backwards in looks and I think it’s because in 2017 Pierre Leclercq bmw designer left, then Albert Biermann head of M and other designers went to Hyundai N in 2020

Why not compromise and get the M5 wagon that is coming to North America. Best of both worlds. Mind you at likely 2X the cost of a M2.

I wonder if BMW uprated the engine in the M2 this year in anticipation of the Supra getting that engine and likely being rated at the old M2 power level? Thus creating a bit of separation between the two products.

The goal would be a much higher ride height, I suppose… So we don’t have to swim to work ?

I am damn tempted as well by the M2..there is a nice local one that just popped up with the tan interior I like and manual. But I am at the old rates on my Supra and still like driving it... I am going to wait until the rates chill out and I will jump into one or another G80 M3.

Great point. I love this engine & BMW in general.

Ideally we’d go full track with the Supra, get an M2 for our in town four seater, my MX5 to cart be back and forth to work and an SUV for floods, trailering & loading tires (gear) up for track.

One more kid to get out the nest, cash out & downsize the home. Viola! Looking more doable ?
