What size bar did you get? What suspension? I would advise to not go too large in the front. I had the cusco and had a bit too much push than I wanted. Then went to a whiteline, which is the same size as oem, but solid. Most of the push went away.
Do you have an opinion on the aFe front sway bar (set to LEAST stiff)? Was considering getting that but keeping the OEM rear sway bar since I don't want to drop the subframe

It really depends on the rest of the setup. What spring rates?

I did ask this yesterday and was told that in principle, on adjustable springs, getting adjustable links will be beneficial because the car can be weight/tension balanced.

But they told me that on OEM suspension, the benefit will be negligible.

or, at least, that’s how I understood.

I decided to add an aftermarket better front sway bar because it seemed to me that the extra expense was worth it since the car was being balanced and I didn’t want to introduce another variable that would require additional balancing work in the future.

EDIT: was beaten on the answer w better explanation.
You are correct, I am wrong...you can set preload with adjustable end links.

Edit: Generally you don't want preload on a sway bar. That's why you're supposed to tighten end links when the car is back on the ground and the suspension is loaded with the car's weight.

my setup is not sophisticated at all.

1st 6 track days was all stock, then lowered the car on MSS springs, PS4S on wider wheels. I did another 2 weekends here in Homestead on that.

Then I added the Eibach front sway and now I’m waiting for the Verkline links. (Also have hawk brake pads that I haven’t installed yet and the new brake fluid). That will be my next weekend or two in HPDE and then from there on I don’t know how far down the rabbit hole will I go.

Besides the interior bits and the aero stuff, engine and exhaust are all stock.

Noob question, but should I always use new bolts on the rear caliper when switching from street pad to track pad and vice versa?

Completely stock setup (only suspension changes are SPL rear traction arms + Verus camber plates)
I'm fairly close in setup to you. Verus Camber plates, AFe sways, stock springs. My $.02

My car is a little pushy with the front and rear AFe bars, both set to the middle hole. I can initiate rotation, but it is by no means tail happy. My guess is that AFe front and stock rear would push like a dump truck, even on the softest setting.

So easy to do. Was telling another guy that asked the same thing this past weekend. Seat time is really the best investment of all, after fluid, pads, tires.

Have you considered a Garmin Catalyst? It shows you areas you can concentrate & improve on. Even has a voice coach while driving. Tons of data you can review on the unit and app (below) while at the track.

Multiple datapoints compared to your optimal or “friends” that share with you. Don’t have to wait to offload it, able to view on the fly, between sessions, whatever. Really makes it easy.

Once you get your variance down (like Tower Turn below ⬇), then you start looking at what else you can to do to the car. I’ve got a lot of time left on the table. So that’ll be my focus. Improving on my schlopy driving (braking harder & later above is a good example where he was much faster) & more consistency.

Had no idea this was a thing! Might have to seriously consider especially if I see one for a good price.

I've changed my rears twice and kept the original bolt. Necessary? probably not but maybe if you wanna put an upper limit on how many times you re-use it then that might not be a bad idea.

Finished my first track season with the Supra at VIR this past weekend. What a great track!

I did 5 events, and will probably do the same next year. For you veterans, what maintenance do i need to do and when? Brake fluid flush, of course. I change oil every event or two. I have spare rotors ready to go, though I may not need them till next year (inspecting them regularly). Do I need to do....diff fluid? Something else? Thanks!

Engine oil every event or two is a bit over kill. I used to be like this but having done about six oil tests with the Supra, if using a good oil like Motul 8100 x-cess, you can easily do four-five. Hell, I had six on my last test and the test came back fine with good viscosity still.

I would change your diff fluid if you haven't yet. It's very easy.

Would you change the diff fluid annually? Thanks for the info, very appreciated!

Considering Titanium exhaust for track use, as there r some BF deals. Its not about power coz stock is enough for my power goals, but Ti supposed to be 17kg less (id be around 50kg less overall on weight all parts added) + have some nice sound since stock car is silent... Looking at Whifbitz titanium exhaust: https://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/product/garage-whifbitz-3-5-titanium-exhaust-gr-toyota-supra-a90/

Should i be worried of it cracking after some time driven in extreme conditions? I red a lot over the net about titanum exhausts having problems esp on welds and that they have accelerated wear if track driven...
@FLtrackdays didnt U have problems or im mistaken?
