3rd or 4th gear. start pull below boost threshold (2500ish). pedal should stay 100%.

if you have traction issues (wheelspin or you lift), just throw that log away and try again in a higher gear. dont even bother uploading it.

Thanks! Would it matter if it's uphill or downhill? Not sure I have that much road anywhere near me...would probably look into dyno

It’s stated in the first post.
This may be a dumb question, but what is sufficient for a log? Would a 2nd gear pull be good enough? Or would you want a higher gear like 3rd or 4th? Starting from what RPM? TIA

  • In safe conditions, shift to 3rd gear, go full throttle from 2500 RPM to redline while your app is connected to the JB4. It will automatically log the run, and store it under the logs tab. You can then email it to yourself, or just save as a draft (as i do).
  • I prefer to turn log grouping off. Depends on who is reviewing your logs.
  • The datalog file name will read as your JB4 engine code(P58), the map you were in, how many runs, and the date.
  • Sign up for datazap.me . This website appears to have been made for reading JB4 log csv files (amongst other tuning platforms). They host the logs so we can just link them here. I don’t think csv can be uploaded. JB4 PC app can be used too - see Section 3.

uphill is better, since you will get more weight on the tires. the goal is to get a smooth pull - going fast is a side effect.

So who all has installed the new fuel sensor wire? How much did it fix your trims and did it allow you to run more E?

log the entire session, it doesn't take up that much storage on your phone and the app is fine with zooming in and out on it
I did it while the wife was driving. I really hope she floored it at some points on the track ? Hopefully I can look into it soon. At least I have one now.

Dialing it in? If you were already dialed in then with this it should’ve just lowered fuel trims for you and allow you to run more E
Shouldn’t have too much work in it
Are you manual?

Right, which worked no problem. Now that trims are lower, we want more boost

As typical with MTs, changing boost targets requires re-tuning wastegate stuff

So how much more E content can be ran safely with this new board? Is E40 possible? Even e45?
And what did you set open loop too

No just the upgraded board. They do a core exchange for the old board.
Damn…. after y’all get it figured out, let us know! I’d love to be able to turn mine on during a 30 min track session & hammer the gas - w/out limp mode ⚠

I could fix that for you on your current JB4 board
