That's correct. The details I have are that "they mirror overseas model trims"

I was all set to put an order down next week, but I've had a change of heart. I just don't think i can part with the AMG yet. It's too much fun, and I can't have five cars.

yeah, being rear brakes, i am not too fussed....

I'd be leaning towards the GT purely from a mass perspective
Good point, I was thinking GTS but and don't mind paying 10k upgrade for useful features but the GT is already pretty loaded.

I am not fussed on rear brake upgrade or heads up display and probably change the wheels out anyway.

Will be interesting when Aussie spec sheets comes out so we can find out what the weight difference will be between GT and GTS - I suppose there won't be much in it.

Anyone see a good picture of the Aus GT spec wheels you can share?

I'm actually thinking it might be a misprint.

I'm expecting it to mirror the 3.0 and premium trim like the US and other markets TBH

Do you mean same 19" wheels on both GT and GTS spec? Cause the Aus website lists 19" wheels as an upgrade for the GTS :

Take the driving experience as close to the race track as you can get, with the GTS that adds a head-up display, 19ā€ forged alloy wheels, sport brakes with red callipers and the options of red leather accented or Alcantara seats.

Also the wheels currently on the Aus website are different to what I've seen in US/Euro reviews..... https://www.toyota.com.au/all-new-supra

Yep. I've been quizzing the head of bringing the A90 in at Toyota about those exact details.

I asked specifically about the brakes, and he said the models would mirror what is sold overseas

He admitted that they're still quite in the dark on what we are actually.getting in terms of spec.

Bottom line, I wouldn't read into the website too much

Seems a bit ā€˜cheapā€™ to put 18s on a $95k car (a $40k Camry SX gets 19s), or is it just me? I realise they need to provide some reason to step to the top trim, but still...

Now that the official pricing is out, and itā€™s higher than I can justify to myself, Iā€™m thinking about other cars I might buy instead in a couple of years. Iā€™m wondering if, in future years, Toyota Australia will also release the 190kW turbo 4 Supra (leave the 145kW one in Japan, less power than an 86 is a joke). If they do bring the 4 banger, how much might they price it at? Surely they couldnā€™t ask more than $60k? You can get a Nismo Z, a Stinger GT, or a CTR, all with more power, for around $60k. They wouldnā€™t make it $70k, let alone $80k, would they? For essentially a hot hatch level of performance?

white GT.

It's a lot of money, I'd need to sell the AMG and finance a decent portion of it...

Man, I don't think I could part with the AMG if I owned one. But then, you already own the entire Supra library, would be a shame to not complete the collection. I'd hate to be you!

The C63 is a brilliant thing. It's just such a comical, analogue old school car.

It all pends on the test drive - if it makes me giggle like the AMG does, maybe i'll go through. I might be able to use it for work as well and help reduce costs.

I think the first 100 disappeared after maybe 3 minutes of it coming online. Now you have to wait a month to try and reserve the next 100.

It could be smart to buy and resell. Also, if you make a profit flipping get a hold of a C63 Black.
