I wouldn’t worry about any lagginess. You will be impressed. Not sure what you’re upgrading from, but the turbo is very responsive. The RamAir filter, per Shawn, is the way to go, to allow the best possibly air flow for this turbo.

I would still try to make what you currently have work and send back the other one, if it does work and fits properly.

If you decide to order the RA filter there are several to choose from. Make sure you get the 102mm that is around 7.5” in length. The others will be somewhat larger and not allow the lid or brace to fit.

I waited about 60 days or so for my 6769. Botti has map 1 completed. Awaiting Map 2/3 revisions soon. I can tell with me changing out the turbo again, from the previous FM to this 6769, there is no lagginess from this larger turbo. The throttle response is truly amazing. Drives like stock until you hammer it. It just wants more boost. Map 1 is dialed in at 21psi for now.
i could have sworn you had the ultra flow before?

Thanks for the info. The CTS intake also has a velocity stack. I asked DAW about the Armastpeed intake and he said it should be good since it's 5 inch filter. Im also curious about a heat shield.

I currently have the verus heart shield does anyone know if that will fit with the 6769?

Yes sir. It will fit over the 6769. What I have now. I am waiting on the BN 5” DP. Shawn said it was being shipped out tomorrow.

I did have the UF but after speaking to Shawn a few years ago, he told me that the FM would flow a little more for the six port head. So I removed it, sent it back and he sent me the FM. This is what I just removed and have shipped it back to him, since I have upgraded to the 6769. He expressed to me that they were about to release a new version of turbos but I didn’t want to wait for the production.

ahhh okay I get you. I also had an Ultra flow for my 2 port and it was a pretty weak turbo. made 560ish wheel at like 30 psi and 94% WGDC and no boost leak to be found ? in the process of switching it with a pure turbo. david shoup's told me his experience with the ultraflow in particular is a weak performer with the gen 2 platform. oh well ?‍♂

also, does shipping your used turbo back to shawn give you a discount or something on a new turbo?

That does seem kind of low in terms of HP. Many factors are involved. Timing, fuel, throttle closures, etc. moderate versus a pushing tune. I wouldn’t be so focused on numbers but how the car drives and pulls. Dyno will vary one to another. You will prolly be all over the place with different dynos. Even at that level of boost it should more than that if you have the supporting mods. Fuel, reflex, maybe meth, LPFP, etc.

Yes, Shawn did take care of me. This is the third turbo on my car. Figured I would go big or go home. I am not ready for the top mount just yet and might never. Botti seems to think I will get an additional 100 hp with this 6769. At least what others are seeing with his tune and similar mods. My new 5” DP should be here this week and allow it to breath a little better.

I'm at ~90-92% wgdc with the 6769. Confident after seeing my numbers and draggy times that you'll have much better results with the P900/6769. That's a lot of psi and wgdc to only end up at 560.

What are your numbers looking like? I haven’t really seen anyone post 6769 numbers on kill.

can you share your 60-130 time?
my good friend have the DAW6769 in his bmw M140 (its gen 1 b58), built engine and transmission
they almost maxed out the turbo around 40 psi
he is at 5.3-5.4 60-130 and fighting with traction

No one cares. I think it's just a fun representation of before/after.

5.5-5.6, stock engine, built trans, 34psi - not a kill map. Traction can be slippery, but I heat up my MT Rs and I'm fine.

Those guys that dynoed different numbers on a totally different dyno 2000 miles away on different fuel, different setup and different weather will 100% care and make sure you know about it.
Don't forget the 12 ice bags and portable AC so we can video from the back and brag on Instagram.

I didn’t say anything about dyno numbers. Also, get rid of that fucking attitude when someone asks a simple question.
