It's because Toyota is accounting for the driver's weight to even it out. Also 3300 lbs wet is impressive.
Agree...that corner weight is fantastic though. Looks like it will be close to perfect with fuel load and driver.

This is on a Dyno Dynamics. A heart breaker dyno. They dyno in 4th gear.

looks about right. we tune on Mustang dynos 99% of the time. some people hate the the results until they put the same car with same tune on a dynojet, lol

1st. Why do they use the 4th gear
2nd. Those graphs especially the torque one look pretty odd.
3rd. That hp figure is way not where it should be.

not sure on number 1. This trans should be dyno'd in 6th following dyno rules of using 1:1. however 5th is acceptable on the 8HP due to some shops not wanting to roll that high of a speed.

They dynod in 4th, 5th, and 6th. 4th was the 287, 5th was 302, and 6th was like, 331. I've got the sheets. Stu is used to dynoing in 4th, so thays likely why he did that

6th is the best then.
We're wondering if maybe the car does different amounts of boost in each gear, to keep it managable.

Edit: and Twisted is right. Many people hate using a DD, since it reads lower than other dynos

We've got the Supra on the dyno now, and we're going to be doing some runs. I figured this way, when I post the video, everyone can find it easier.

To each his or her own. Personally, I wouldn't put a car of mine on a dyno until exceeding the 2,000 mile mark on the odometer. The Supra's break in procedure (owner's manual) advises exercising significant caution when remaining below the 4,500 RPM level for the first 1,200 miles of operation.

Because dyno runs include reasonably lengthy full throttle runs under load, 2,000 miles seems reasonable to me.

Many car companies recommend a much easier break in than I do, but I've never had any engine issues on cars I've broken in the way I'm going to drive them.
