It’d be so lame if this is true. I really like the exclusivity of it... If they’re gonna come out with a cheaper option at least make it look different
Instead of releasing a cheaper version, how about releasing a more expensive one. lol

Not sure why you guys are upset about this? Don’t drive it, I guess.

There are fewer and fewer sports car and more and more crossovers - I just can’t see why some of you wouldn’t welcome more people into car scene.

Do you own an A90 Supra? I think people are not wanting the Supra to be more affordable and catering to the "Honda Civic/Kid crowd." Most of us worked super hard for our money and paid a ton for the A90..

Now, a cheaper A90 comes along and a bunch of kids buy it??? It also makes it less rare on the roadway.......

Anyways, just opinions here....

I don’t think that’s valid unless the car is $30k. This car will still sell at a premium

I don’t think Toyota would directly undercut the 86 with a bigger, nicer, and quicker car
gotcha. Doesn’t make too much sense to buy the 4 cylinder car at $40k+ After mark ups and taxes, price will be close to $50k.... might as well get a normal A90. Lol

so basically it will be at the price point of the new Civic Type R and STI. Which I see a ton on the roadways. Ugh.

I agree. I waited a long time since my last sports car and don't want something that is more common because now the same body is being used in a cheaper model. I to, have worked hard for my money.

I was thinking about getting the new Civic Type R since I always been a Honda fan. But wanted to get away from that “crowd.”

And was thinking why the hell am would I pay $40k+ for a Civic. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.
Lol

Yep I considered it as well... I have a long and mostly good history with Honda also... but then I thought, as a middle aged man, could I really see myself driving that around? If you're going to have people comment about your "midlife crisis" - at least they should think it's a halfway decent one. It's so strange how it seems like more "car people" (though not real ones IMO) are more hung up on the "BMWness" of the Supra, than they are on the Z4 or M cars... and that last guy... LOL!

I've had lots of complementary thoughts about my Toyota and Lexus cars... but absolutely none of them were ever about the interior quality, comfort, performance, tech level, etc... and I've owned some of their priciest models. Nearly bulletproof reliability and fantastic resale value, that's where Toyota has all the points. Being exceptional in any other area? Not since the 90's and likely never again. IMO at least.

Can you imagine what the Interwebs would be like if Toyota had released a 100% Japanese Supra with a twin-turbo making ~600hp - but costing ~$140K? Same amount of hate probably... and from even more non-owner "experts". :nono:
