Just get a 3.0 and call it a day. With all the time and money spent, you can afford a 3.0.
Personally, I will only be doing a catback + intake. I purchased (NOT leased/loaned) a B48 Supra to replace my 86 as a daily beater here in SoCal. Straight line speed is relatively low on the priorities list.

That being said— “you should of bought a faster car” can be applied to nearly every modified car


WRX? Should of gotten an STI. GTI? Should of gotten an R. Ecoboost Stang? Should of gotten a V8. A90 3.0? Should of gotten a “real BMW” from the M division.

Your statement doesn't really apply to what that guy was saying. He was more so saying that if your goal is to have 3.0L power then you should simply buy a 3.0L supra. Nothing about being faster than the next guy.

Thank you. Why spend more money to make 3.0 power on a 2.0 when 3.0 makes over 400hp stock.

Apologies— I’m probably growing defensive due to an endless barrage of shit talkers ?


The Supra 2.0 is 3181 pounds with near 50/50 weight distribution & 0-60 in high 4’s stock. If you can acquire a base model for sticker or under ($42k or less) and throw 4-5k at it, you are looking at a VERY respectable sports car with super car looks & wallet-friendly MPG for <$47k.

If you’re top priority is straight line performance, and you want an A90 for the looks/badging, the 3.0 is the best choice.

Spoken to AWE about the exhaust.
They would like to make one this year BUT they need a car so they can take a look and try to put something together. So if someone is near them and can provide the car that would make the process start....
Not sure if there was an update or not but I'm from NYC about 2 hours from them in PA. I have a stock nitro yellow 2.0, I've been looking into a 2.0 exhaust for a little while I wouldn't mind bringing my car to them to take a look at

Don’t we have an auto locking mechanical rear dif on the 2.0? Whats the benefit to an LSD v the autolocking?
