The 2021 MKV Supra's B58M3001 uses a larger turbo and the part number is (11657934387). The 2020 MKV Supra has a smaller turbo on it's B58B30C motor and the part number is (11657934332). The factory boost pressure is also higher on the 2021 model MKV Supra as well by about 4-5psi.

For the 500-550whp mark the B58B30C (2020 model) with higher compression given the same turbo size and same boost will be the winner. For higher boost pressures 25+psi I will give it to the B58M3001 (2021 model) with it's 10.2:1 compression, as it will be able to handle higher target PSI in the tunes.
Part numbers are different yes but due to manifold changes. The actual turbo wheel sizes have been verified to be the same. The 20 is tuned with more boost taper and less overall boost period. Remember this turbo falls out of efficiency at 22-23 psi so more boost becomes inefficient.

The 21 and newest/updated 20's are requiring a $500 bench unlock to be flash tuned also.

Dear Axix23 and friends,

Please accept our apologies for any rectalgia you currently suffer. Please tell your boyfriends to take it easy on you next time.

Sincerely,

stop trolling the Supra fb groups and pretending you have a Supra or tell everybody to post up their cars for sale when you don’t even have any money to buy one... Weren’t you the one who got kicked out of a Supra owner only Facebook group? Lmao

I personally think the 2020 will perform better on the street when tuned vs a tuned 2021. 2021 owners will likely need to go big turbo or over work the stock turbo to see the nice gains that’s 2020 owners have seen. We shall see.

Everything I've heard from tuners says the engines are identical when tuned. The advantage is thought to be had after 750+whp but it's only theory at this point

Did anybody catch that the 2020 dynoed at 346whp? That’s a high reading dyno! l
Other stock dyno reports that came out last year also reported the 2020 at 400+ crank HP, with some as high as almost 420 HP. It's consistent with other results.I don't recall seeing anything (of course, I haven't seen all that have been done) that had it less than ~ 390 HP at the crank.

Could you please post a data log and dyno for a tuned 2021 MKV. Didn't know that tuners could get them before a dealer could guess I live under a rock these days. LOL

Well, the Supra isn't the only car with that engine. It has been tuned in other cars.

I called into BMW and Toyota and neither of the parts departments could give specifications on compressor sizes for either part numbers. I was told by a turbo manufacturing company that the actual compressor wheels are in fact different in size as well as the hot side too. Stock turbo on B58B30C does just fine at 22-23psi on top it's all based on the tune, fueling and timing. Mine doesn't fall off especially when I'm on MS109 it's a fucking raped ape all the way through the rpms. Maybe on shitty 93-91 CA pump gas it will go limp dick up top but not when it's got some race fuel in it LOL.

Do those other cars have the same tunes? Transmissions? Fuel? Fuel pumps and injectors? I bet they don't even share the same ECU's LOL

The amount of mental gymnastic regarding the 2020 vs the 2021 in this thread is comical.
Yes cannot wait for them to be released and modded so I can rub some of these clowns noses in their own sh*t. Ha!
