Should Toyota Supra keep FT-1 2+2 configuration? Or lose backseats?

What do you think should happen?

Have any of you guys had a Mk4? The back seats are useless. You struggle to fit one adult across two seats. There is far more room in an 86, A70 or A61

the 86 seats are just not for long journeys , otherwise they are decent for a sportscar i would say. For the supra , i have not owned one but i have seen up close the seats and they feel in the same category maybe yeah a little bit more on the uncomfortable side , but still they are backseats and someone that is not very tall (i am short myself i would say) could fit. For me the +2 seats is very important.

Yeah, the 86 seats aren't too bad considering. The JZA80 rear seats are far far worse. Even small adults have literally nowhere to put their feet, only a few inches.

JZA80 rear seats are basically useless. Im 5'7 and with me driving, there is NO foot room behind my seat.

not useless, virtually every single rwd 2+2 coupe (that isn't based on a sedan) is like this...i'm 5'11 and there is really no difference with the 86. either just have your rear passengers sit sideways, have their legs folded, or have them sit behind the passenger instead of the driver..

Anyone seen any news about being 2+2 or 2 seater? It has been so long and i haven't seen any confirmation about this from any site.

I know this has been a much talked about topic. New spy shots from AutoWeek gives us a closer look at the up coming Toyota sports car. We get a much better look at the trunk area. It appears that Toyota's version will also have 2 seats just like the upcoming BMW Z4.

Yeap indeed . I will put my hopes on another car i guess to fill my personal needs. Too bad , because i believe these cars should be daily drivers and not be the second car that you take to just have some fun like a toy.

2 Seater isnt so bad.
I mean, its the same Market then as the 370Z and Z4.
And in the grand scheme of things, they seem to sell fairly reasonable.

Yes, I'm sure you could sell more with a 2+2 set up. No doubt there would have to be a basic, logical reason for it being a 2 seater.

I assume, one of the main reasons would be the fact its sharing the platform with the Z4, which has always traditionally been a 2 seater.
From a finacial point of view, makes sense as to why Toyota kept their model having only 2 seats.

If even the seats are equal to the z4 seats then it is just a rebadged z4 but with a fixed roof . Actually there was a z4 coupe by bmw in 2008 i think . In 2018 though the z4 coupe will have a toyota badge .
