Should Toyota Supra keep FT-1 2+2 configuration? Or lose backseats?

What do you think should happen?

I forgot to comment back on this... I was told there is a rear shelf and they wouldnt say anything more.

I'm guessing that means there is storage back there? maybe seats? I dont know lol

Nothing ground breaking to report, just another look at the cargo cover and rear shelf.

It should not be any different than previous Z4 Coupe. Though I would like something like Z3 Coupe (shooting) - thinking of Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ Shooting Concept, also lifted) - I am fine with any 2 seat compact sports car.

I think there will be more space behind the seats. The E86 was tiny at 161.0 inches or for the rest of the world 4,090 mm.

the evora is proof it's possible. the only question is why would you want to. all i see is excess weight. give me a shelf and a built in excuse to not drive anyone around...

keep in mind, the evora has a wheelbase of over 100 in whereas the new z4/supra are estimated to be under that and most importantly the v6 in the lotus is transverse as opposed to the i6 being longitudinal in the supra so it isn't the best comparison. personally, i love the fact that the evora has backseats

i find it absurd to stick useless rear seats in a midengine car. luckily it's only an option and their special versions like the GT430 are only 2 seats. the 86's rear seats are useless so hopefully they keep the weight down and dont add useless seats on the supra...

it is all relative as to what is "useless". unless you and everyone you hang out with are giants, it works..it isn't meant to be necessarily comfortable or entirely practical. i love being able to put my son in the backseat, dog, gear, etc and being able to take a friend along obviously..sure a shelf and storage bins like what @vb22 posted is cool too, but i definitely prefer the seats.

the 86's backseats aren't even that bad..ive experienced plenty of other coupes with even more "useless" seats whether we're talking about leg or head room. so i can agree with you that there are limits. if the backseats are worse than what the 86 offers, then yes i would prefer shelf/storage compartment. with how short people are anticipating the bmw supra's wheelbase to be, at this point as i much as i hate to say it i would just want the shelf

Can't see myself buy MKV if its less spacious then the 86. 86 does a great job carrying 4 adults, or snowboard or even an MTB with the rear seat folded.
