Yeah, I remember reading about it awhile ago but couldn't remember the name so I wasn't sure. So basically it's a specific purpose piggy back ECU. I tried searching for port injectors installed on a B58 but couldn't find any. Are they drilling and tapping into the intake manifold or using custom fuel rails? Do they run a separate pump and line from the tank or tap into one of the existing ones? Is there a low pressure fuel regulator or is an aftermarket one needed as well?

Side note: if any of the mods could move the last few posts to a proper thread, that would be great :)

Port injectors don’t exist for the B58. The engine was only cracked recently. Big Boost has a throttle body port injection system but I’ve heard the metering and atomization can be inconsistent.

The way it works is you have a small plate that fits between the intake manifold and head. It has injectors that run perpendicular to the runners which inject like factory PI systems.

I cant recall on BMWs, but I know you need to upgrade the low pressure fuel pump. For VW’s all you do is add an extra connection from the stock fuel lines before the HPFP and plumb it straight to the port injectors. Sorry I can’t tell you specifics, never run PI on my cars.

The doors look short from that video. Shorter than the 86's atleast. Which will be good for parking in spaces, if that's the case.

They pretty much go over all of the car in this vid. Just wish I knew what they were saying.
