I should be fine with just bolt ons yeah? Cause I have an eventuri intake, aa catted downpipe, and awe exhaust sitting in my garage to be installed lol
“Bolt ons” is such a loose term but the stuff you mentioned should be fine. Not going to be significant enough gains to warrant upgrading the clutch

I’m waiting around as well to hear the sales figures. That’s too much for a z4 6MT unless you are a diehard fan of the platform. A lot of YouTube online trolls in MKV 6MT videos commenting about “being better off” waiting for the Z4 6MT instead. We’ll find out if they put their money where their mouth is. I said it before and I’ll said it again, the MKV is the most misunderstood car in automotive history specially by purists.
How is 70k a bad deal for a Z4 6MT when the MT Supra with the last gen interior and no convertible top is 60+ now?

+10k for a modern interior and automatic roof seems reasonable to me :dunno: Aren't base model 2.0 718s the same price?

It’s discipline (budget) and personal preference also. “At that $70k price point I’m getting closer to a (blank), might as well go up an inch more to buy an (xyz)”. It’s a zero sum game that has been around forever. You do have a point about the interior, but at that $70k price point I would rather get a G87 M2. If someone loves the Z4 and HAS to have one then I guess it makes sense to them. I drew the line at $62k for my personal budget and I landed on the MKV when I bought it 14 months ago. Going up to $70k+ wasn’t in my budget.

Bolt ons don’t do anything for power so yes you should be fine.

I went with motive’s twin disk st on my m240i and it holds strong and has a insanely light petal feel.

Any news here?
I sent an email to Spec, haven't heard back. Did find some items listed here:

Driftmotion Stage 2
https://www.driftmotion.com/DM-Stage-2-Clutch-Kit-for-MKV-Supra-2023-24-p/dm1134.htm

Driftmotion Stage 3
https://www.driftmotion.com/DM-Stage-3-Clutch-Kit-for-MKV-Supra-2023-24-p/dm1135.htm

I do not know anything about the vendor or their shop personally but looks like they're in SoCal and support older Supras. I will ping them next week and see if I can get more info.

You wouldn’t try Uni-Clutch?

This one looks interesting, it seems to be by far the cheapest price, but I would want more details as well. I’ll try messaging them, I’m in SoCal as well so I’ll try to get more information.

Driftmotion has been around for a long time and is a very good vendor that supports the older MKIII and MKIV Supras as well as SC/Soarers, the GS/Aristo, JZX90/100/110 cars and pretty much any Toyota model or swap car that uses a Toyota JZ inline six engine with a turbo.

They're well known in the Supra MKIII, MKIV and SC/Soarer communities in the U.S.

For the older MKIII Supras they continue to offer support parts for the 7M-GE and 7M-GTE inline six engines. And also a lot of OEM and custom manual transmission swap parts and kits as well for many of those cars.

I've been using them for years to get specific parts and specific service for my 2JZ-GTE swapped manual SC300 when I lived in Los Angeles. I've continued to buy parts from them after moving. Aaron is the owner and lead fellow there. He and his staff are very good to work with and know their stuff. Good people.

Aaron did say to me a couple of years ago that they were looking into expanding their aftermarket support to include the MKV generation as well. Looks like they've been moving in that direction already.

I did see that UniClutch has the clutch released on their site. I only have 1500m on my 2024 but am running more that stock power. For the money and it being a twin i might try this out.

Those are pretty underwhelming in terms of specs. One can go past the rating on the stage 3 with just a tune. Anyone getting a decent tune should be looking into something around the 650-700ft-lb range. Picking something so close to what the car can produce is just shortening the clutch lifespan.

I think for street use they are probably fine, for track/strip something more meaty required!

--Update--
I got in contact with the US based UniClutch rep who was very knowledgeable and very nice to talk with. I found out that the Youtube review on a MT supra is the CEOs personal car used for R&D. The rep also let me know a lot of work and re-tooling was needed to create the center spline due to the larger output shaft BMW\Supra has. I am going to order one up and will create a install video and review. The clutch is most likely 2-4weeks out but will post updates. I feel if this clutch has the street manners from the video then this will be another contender to the CM twin disc at a much lower cost.
