we may be onto something here.
Which one is which?
Because up to now I didn’t know that tapping that backwards could be a problem

I don't remember. After searching through a lot of writeups I had found something that vaguely talked about it on the supra. But really I just guessed. If it's backwards you get all kind of errors, if it's correct no errors. I'd say just swap them and test again.

I. CANT. THANK YOU. ENOUGH

this was the issue. There is a polarity on the CanBus Wires. They HAVE to be wired in the right fashion.

I had the Can High tap wired to the CanLow pin on the pigtail. That made the car absolutely crazy and no data transmission. As soon as I switched the taps, all of a sudden the data started to flow. Like magic. This is 3 weeks into working on this problem.

Sir. I owe you a beer.

CAN uses two wires, one positive and one negative, because CAN messages use differential signaling. The two wires operate at different voltages, and the difference between them is what allows signals to be transmitted, even when there is interference or voltage fluctuation on one or both wires. If you get it backwards, devices could be sending high voltage to the low wire and low voltage to the high wire, and now the differential voltage is now junk, leading to noise and failures on the bus.

Glad it was a simple fix.

Figured I'd share some other 3d printed forays:

Front Spats
-these interact with the stock lip + the Aeroluxe GT4 lip

Rear spats (Aimgain style)
-These were the first thing I printed for my car. I haven't uploaded the files to Cults but I suppose I could do that if there is enough interest

Phone/tablet mount
-This part is similar to the proclip mount but not $50 for a piece of plastic. This is NOT my design but I can find it with a bit of looking if there is interest

Jack stand adapters
-these are also NOT my design and were designed for essentially all BMWs with the rectangular jacking point. They are 100% solid PETG and I've used the same set on my car for almost 3 years at this point. Again, I can do some digging and find the files if there is interest

Front fender to front brake ducts and rear wheel brake ducts would be hugely helpful if anyone has these!

We already have brake ducting from OEM. Speed Engineering sells a printed kit that uses hoses from those ducts to a nozzle mounted on the knuckle. You can also just buy some cheap deflectors from Porsche gt3s and mount them on the caster arm.

Rear ducts are accomplished in a similar way. Basically deflectors that mount to the Control arm.

Wanted something that sat a littler further forward so I modeled a mount that slides over the stock strut bar. Oversized the inner portion to allow room for some felt to avoid scratches. Uses a 5mm x 40mm hex socket screw and heat pressed insert on the underside. Bonded the slide mount on top. Printed using PA6-CF for the high heat and rigidity.

Now I just need someone to do the A91 front splitter attachments and I can have the look for way cheaper ?
Sorta unrelated but I also lowered the price on my fender vents.......

I’d like adjust and to create a version of optimized brake ducts that doesn’t use hosing.

Hoses have an inconvenient way of finding road debris and become entangled in various orifices. ;)

I had made some for my prior m3 and 60+ minutes continuous sessions at Calabogie attested to their effectiveness over the years!

Fyi, I added an adapter for the wireless tray in other threads that allows for positioning your phone without a magsafe etc when displaying a dashboard.

thank you! I printed one side but I have to figure out how to glue the pieces together.
I'm currently trying JB Weld Plastic Weld putty. Granted, I plan to sand it a bit and eventually vinyl wrap the part so any imperfections shouldn't be visible afterwards.

Will updated on how that goes.
