For adding an additional sub to the car, where did you guys get the music signal to LC2i /amp? From the sub outputs of factory amp? Front or rear speaker outputs? The factory amp input is fiber optic I believe, not sure which output wires provide full range signal. Thanks for your help.

This may have been covered but the subs in our cars are 8ohms would the amp be capable of running 4ohm subs? Other bmws run 2ohm and 4ohm subs...

The reason I ask is I've bought some vibe optisound subs for bmws but they're 4ohms...

If not would adding resistance to the speakers to bring it to 8ohms be a viable option?

I am interested in adding the port holes. Can someone explain why just using a 2” drill hole saw and a subwoofer port hole you can’t just punch 2 holes in? Instead of tearing up the whole interior?

This is my plan eventually. I actually just removed the whole trim piece for now and the bass is much less farty.

I'm curious too, since I'd like to replace my basic stereo subs to Focal P&P ISUB BMW 2, which are 2 Ohms and I'd like to know the impedance of the basic OEM subs (no 676 hi-fi, nor Harman Kardon ones).
