Yuuupppp and it fucking sucks. If we could delete DI we could run full methanol.
Could you not add a fuel cell and fuel system for methanol and plumb it to the PI fuel rail. Therefore running on pump gas via DI system and the PI system with appropriate injectors and tuning adds methanol as boost increases. At full tilt there would be very little pump gas via DI, most fuel would be methanol via PI. I'm surprised no one is trying that, must be some tuning or reflex limitation.

Might as well throw some carbs on it at that point......

I dont see why there is so much hate on the DI system besides the fact that you can't make crazy power on it. Some of us are fine with 600whp. Heck 500whp is fine with me.

there are other benefits as well, I think someone may have oversimplified it (leading to some debate) but you do get a mild boosting effect when injection occurs fully after intake valve close.

You'd melt the DI injectors. You have to plug the ports, and you can't plug the ports, because you'd have to remove the DI injectors, removing the DI injectors freaks the car out. Codes for days.

@Jesse DaBears has a fuel cell.

Heck 500whp is fine with me.
I respect that.

But convos about fueling won’t have anything to do with those that want to stay in the 500 hp range.. just get a catless tune and you’re set.

It’s like me going into the 9Xdrag chat about iceboxes and being like. “Ayo mr 1200 hp, umm bruh like I’m gud wit 700 herspers so like, um maybe like don’t icebox bruh?”

Wow, quite the thread here on this. I am running the FX-350 with Stock DI / LPFP atm and spend a lot of time at the dragstrip. Thought I would share my times with the group, been pretty impressed so far, and good to see some more options. I am still dialing the car in and still not reached the best times yet :

Best 1/4 mile is 10.03 @ 135 and a 6.4 1/8th mile, draggy runs a little slower than the slip as usual.
Current power levels are at 600/610, still on stock transmission.
