During that time the 3rd gen MR2 was in the same price range as the 350z and RX8.I think it looks good. I wonāt consider it over an a90 for personal reasons, but it looks good.
Nissan sees the a90 and responds.. I sure wish Toyota had been as competitive... say, back when they saw Nissan release the 350z back in 2002. if they did, weād probably be sitting at an a100 right now at the very minimum
Thatās true, good point. However, it felt like the Celica and Mr2 were just chugging along while (as we know of course) the Supra was dead. I still remember back in 2004/2005 when I was in a Toyota dealership, I saw that the sportiest looking cars in that showroom were a (210hp) Camry SE and a Matrix XRS. Nothing against the 2ZZGE cars, but it was just sad times, and Iām just glad we arenāt living in those times now.During that time the 3rd gen MR2 was in the same price range as the 350z and RX8.
However, I recall @A70TTR saying we were suppose to get a new Supra back in 2011 based on the 2007 FTHS concept, but with the 2008 recession Toyota scrapped it.
But it's suppose to be an affordable car and by that would probably eat into GTR's sales.I know its the VR30 but based on the link it appears to have the Q60 engine cover.

Wow, I wonder if anyone here will have buyer's remorse.A friend just sent me some info regarding the Z35. All I can say is it will be less then $40k, V6 turbo only (no 4 cylinder), and weight about the same as the 370z.
I think you are going to like what the Z has to offer. Assuming dealers don't mark the prices up too much.I've been lurking on this forum for a while now. Early 2020, I thought I had an order in for a LE with my local Toyota dealer before getting screwed. Still on my radar, but now waiting on Z release to make that decision on my next 2-seater.
