LOL even their own people is jumping ship off the new Z cause they aren't happy with the price tag hahaha. Also for people who plan to join the Z forum to talk shit, they hate it the most when you call the car "400z" ???

Considering I paid somewhere between 52-53k (before taxes) for my premium supra, the z is by far not a good deal like it was supposed to be. Of course, that is assuming the leaked prices are legit.
Arguably, you got the Supra below MSRP, so apples to apples comparison is going to be getting Z for less than MSRP too.

That said, its going to be a LONG time before that is even close to an option for anyone, between the current market and the Z being "brand new, first year" with dealerships gouging the prices to high heaven.

Calm down everyone lol. Another source is saying $40k, $45k, and $50k. Regardless, a press release with official pricing should be here by Monday.

if the world was normal, a base model that has an MSRP of 39,990 after typical discounts and rebate being around 35-37k it is a great deal, but in the real world, this will be a $50,000+ car no matter how you slice it, and with markups 60-70 for the time being. The manual was what made it special, but now that the supra manual is coming, I truly think in the 50k+ category this car is obsolete, unless they release a targa or convertible variant, in that case I can see supra customers being stolen.

$39.9K for the Sport 6MT/9AT is a great deal - especially when comparing to the 2.0 Supra.

However, we'll just have to wait and see what the actual sales prices are as markups will definitely be a factor during the initial launch period.

The flat-foot shifting feature on the manual is nice. Especially when it comes to turbo engines and keeping the boost up during shifting. I hope a similar feature is offered in the 3.0 manual Supra.

I got my '20 3.0 Premium Supra in mid 2020 for $49K and I feel that was a bargain by current Supra prices as well as "MSRP" '23 Z prices.

Glad I pulled the trigger when I did.

From the sounds of what Matt Maran had to say, the 40k model will be a nightmare to control. Smaller tires, smaller brakes, etc. The Performance model has enough traction issues already, so I'm gonna guess the Sport model is squirrely as hell out of the box.

Ehh, depends on what you want it for. Tracking and autocrossing, the 2.0 has the better suspension setup and weight. But if you're a numbers guy or lining up for drags and roll racing, the Z should be the better option.
