bringing back an old thread but couldn’t find anything so wanted to ask if this combo of AA DP and AWE touring exhaust brings any drone while going through the RPM range i.e. highway speeds. My mustang GT with Roush catback exhaust had terrible drone at highway speeds so want to avoid that again lol.
Everyone has a difference tolerance but no practically no drone..

We got the combo in stock.

None. I just posted a review and videos of the AA DP and both AWE touring setups. If you have any concern go resonated. Unresonated sounds amazing too. Check the thread I made.

My two cents. I have MAP catted downpipe (basically AA it is 400 cell) plus AWE resonated touring. I love the sound, especially in sport, in 90% of situations. However, I regret getting rid of the valve. In comfort I find the sound (whether you want to call it drone or not everyone has a different definition) when in the 1800-2k range on the highway slightly annoying. There are also times I wish I could just take the volume down one more notch. Again these complaints are for 10% of situations since I'm nearly always in Sport mode which doesn't have me in these RPM ranges and I obviously want the sound at those times - but if I were buying again I would have gone with a valved exhaust, likely HKS, FI, or Magnaflow.

I know its been a while since last post but may I ask what did you end up getting ? I'm in the same boat, I like the growl from AWE but I feel like I'll miss the valve so should go for HKS instead.

I have the HKS and I love the way it sounds. It's not too loud, and not too quiet. No real drone on the FWY and I like having the valve.

I have a little YouTube video of cold/warm start with a few track WOT clips in there.

Right now I’m running AA dp with the stock exhaust and honestly it sounds really good and no drone so haven’t had the big need to get an exhaust since adding the AA dp. But when i do have the need to change I’m pretty confident that AWE resonated touring with be the one i get to have great sound and little to no drone.

I also thought I’d miss the valve, but if you want the AWE to be quiet you just drive in chill mode. Boom, problem solved. HKS is cool too, though, so you can’t lose.

Right now I’m running AA dp with the stock exhaust and honestly it sounds really good and no drone so haven’t had the big need to get an exhaust since adding the AA dp. But when i do have the need to change I’m pretty confident that AWE resonated touring with be the one i get to have great sound and little to no drone.
Okay cool, I would love to put the AA downpipe but I don't wanna void my warranty just yet. Just got the car last year and its my first car. I have heard that even with high flow catted DPs, sometimes there is CEL.

Love my AWE resonated touring with catless boost logic DP. Lots of compliments on the sound. No drone in either sport or comfort, but at low rpm leaning into the throttle it seems like it WANTS to drone but never does. Have some sound clips if interested.

*EDIT: the WANTS to drone comment is only in comfort mode…

I'm new to aftermarket exhausts. Can someone tell me if the awe resonated touring exhaust will keep the start/stop feature when running in normal mode? And a 2nd question, since the exhaust removes the valve, what difference does it make running in 'normal' mode vs sport mode? My understanding was that removing the valve makes the two the same but it seems that i'm wrong.
