I had everything perfectly setup with BimmerCode. Took my Supra for a free oil change (shouldn’t have). And I pick up my car later and they did that update as well without telling me. So I redid my BimmerCode and everything is back to normal except my auto stop function doesn’t work anymore. I’ve tried my normal way of going with the z4 settings, and then also tried with the Supra settings. And nothing works. Any help? Thanks.

When you're saying that the auto stop function doesn't work anymore, are you saying you can't code it out anymore?

If so, I've run into the same issue since the recall for the telematics unit was done.

No fix for this as of yet. So for now get used to hitting that button again.

That happens fairly often w/ BMWs from what I understand, give Bimmercode some time and they should release an update to fix it. In the meantime, code in the whole "Start in sport mode" and you won't have to worry about it. Ezpz.
Is this through BimmerCode?

If you code it to remember the last settings and always be in sports mode, you don't need to worry about the start/stop coding.

BimmerCode (and coincidentally, all iDrive settings for that matter) appear to be a bit buggy and sometimes don’t stick as they should. I suggest toggling (coding it) it on and off a few times and your luck may change. The alternative and most likely solution however (as mentioned above), is to wait it out until the BimmerCode folks update their app. When my cluster was replaced I had to wait months to code it. ? Best of luck.

Aw shit. I was expecting answers to what kind of oil we should run....just another thread about a topic easily covered by searching. Drats
I think it’s happened. We have officially run out of things to talk about. Camber plate adjustment bolts was the last of it.

if you get the xhp transmission tune, you can option to turn it off there also.
it greatly improves driving in normal mode. doest require for the dme to be unlocked

This has been discussed in the thread for the DCM recall update. If you have this done and everything is updated there is currently nothing that can be done/changed to permanently disable the auto start/stop function EXCEPT coding the car to start in sport mode and just leave the car in sport mode.

I tried doing whatever options I had after getting the recall done and the only thing that worked was my last mention of starting in sport mode. In my case I typically run the car in sport mode all the time anyway except I change transmission to normal unless I'm doing anything where I want the transmission to be in sport mode like at a track or autox etc.

So I have never taken in my car to a dealer but my auto start stop suddenly stopped working. Tried to recode it but it does nothing. Anyone else experience this?

All of the 2024s (and updated prior models) now are locked with being unable to code out the auto start/stop function. Like said above, the only way to do it so code the car to start in Sport or buy and flash the xHP TCU tune. Can confirm this works on my '24.
