Iowa has a real racket going-- they made the standard plate extra ugly, but you can pay extra to get the "blackout" plate.

Did a quick search on "WA State blackout license plate" and it does appear there is one in the works, but will probably be years before it shows up as an option in the custom plates options, assuming it makes it through the legislature.

Kraken specialty personalized plate is on. Ordered a replacement sto-n-show plate for the front after the first one shipped bent (gonna just have the front plate in the seat-back pouch unless a cop complains).

Side note: Avants is our local car community -- runs a bunch of events, track days, and has some nice partnerships with shops for most car-related work -- and the frame is our way of identifying members. I'd recommend any Seattle, Portland (OR), and Denver-based folks check out your chapters.

I definitely like the mockup of the all black plate. The Kraken plate is fairly close in lower light situations.

Anyone started to think where they would put their front plate?

I haven't seen any tow hook slots yet in the photos I've seen, and it would be a shame to put some holes in this beautiful bumper.

Does anyone know if the STO-N-SHOW plate holders work with the 2022 and 2023 cars? Their product page only lists compatibility with 2020/2021.

I spend an inappropriate amount of time seeing what amusing plates I could get by the Virginia DMV. Of course, they reserve the right to remove your plate if you sneak one by and they figure it out.

I like playing this game here too. Our censors are very strict but it's fun to try and outwit them. I tried the self-censored CXNT so I suspect there's a human at the wheel as it got rejected and banned after the payment went through.
