IMO it's impossible to review and pass judgement on a car while putting around in break-in mode. The car is completely neutered and is, in no way, a fair representation of itself.
It will be a different car once everything is unlocked.

Do the break in then enjoy it as best you can. Having lived in the US I know your speed limitations affect any car with a higher power capability. Frankly the Supra is just a touch slower so your argument about the M2 is difficult to understand.

There is a bit of torque difference as the B58 has so much early, but both exceed most limits in the US with limited gear changes.

I enjoy my M2 at speed when its allowed/available-- but I find the car superb around town or slower speed regime's. Its not a Supra so enjoy the differences it offers and take advantage of them. Both are fun and you have an M2 now. Make the most of it :)

When you do get to really engage the M2 power and brakes fully you will be happy!

I have a different theory. I suspect the BMW and Toyota have a deal to make the Supra a little less cool than similar BMW models such as Z4. So no I8, no low pitch horn, etc.. Anything to make it feel less refined than their German brothers.
I wonder which one would sell more in the US if supplies were not a problem.

Perhaps driving on track suits the personality of the M2 better? Obviously it laid down crushing times on the Nurburgring and was tuned to do so consistently.

I like the new m2 looks more than most. I think it looks badass being "boxy"and not having the grill from hell like the new m3/4. ? . I would say just enjoy. This could be the last generation of non electric sports cars ever

For me new M2 is disappointing. Heavy, doesnt feel fast, brakes are average... its not a sports car, unlike Supra. Better daily tho.

Except for its harsher ride. The Supra is a better daily in that regard.

Doubt that's the case. Bmw is just not letting Toyota have the newer stuff. All the interior is old gen. We haven't seen any updates to interior including idrive I doubt we ever will.
The problem is that BMW's "new stuff" is often problematic. Many Lotus buyers are opting for the Evora for that reason. The Evora has far more proven-reliable mechanical gauges and far fewer newly-designed electronics and software.
New Emira owners are feeling the aggravation of those new components and software.

After only ever having Android I finally sucked it up just last week and swapped over to iPhone. I originally was going to add Android Auto (which I think the module is ~$600 and need to take apart the dash) but I figured I'd give it a shot and if I hated it change back over when the S24 came out. Honestly...it took me about a day to get a hang of things and having Carplay is definitely worth it. Doesn't change the fact its ridiculous the car doesn't come with Android Auto...

Way better ROI to put that $600 towards an iphone than taking dash apart installing adapter possibly running in to issues and then taking dash apart and selling the adapter trying to recover some of your money.

You were gonna spend money on a phone anyways, might as well be Iphone. For me I have an android tablet a Macbook pro and an Iphone and I hate using my android tablet. Feels uber clunky compared to apple products though android might have a few tricks up its sleeve like miracast etc...

Everyone has their own preferences, of course, but I always recommend comparing phone features, not just specs. The Samsung phones, like the Ultra 23 are almost always a few steps ahead of Apple phones. I use my stylus, frequently and would never buy another phone without one. I guess I've been spoiled for too many years, as my Note 9 had a similar setup. When I went on vacation, the 10X optical zoom (Ultra 23) was very handy, and remote photo and video-taking was perfect for the occasions.

Employer supplied iPhone 15 sits in the glove box for CarPlay FTW
Personal S23 Ultra personal phone
BEST of both worlds

I am not engaging in the apple vs android/galaxy debate lol. It's worse than mkiv vs mkv debate.
