lol, abso-fucking-lutely not. He went out of his way to photoshop in your name, car, and mods, and also photoshopped out all references to Z4 in the legend. That was done on purpose to deceive, that was not a mistake. If he really did mean to send that out ahead of a JB4 purchase to let you know what to expect, there would be zero reason to make any of those changes to the image. Fuck that guy, CC chargeback his ass.
Your good man! Did not mean to sound rude at all. Like other users have said before me. You did the right thing to prevent false outrage. However, as a business owner myself I firmly despise scammers and businesses who take advantage of customers. It's part of the reason I started my business. I was tired of dealing with rude owners who took advantage of my ignorance. Was it partly my fault? Yes, I should have researched more. But as a professional and community shouldn't we try to help accept people into this dying hobby instead of leaving them with a bad taste?

the good thing is they are willing to “redo” the runs with me there in person so it appears a refund will not be possible. At least they are willing to complete the work I paid for so I can walk away somewhat satisfied.

do not allow these people to have their way with you. there is no "good thing" here. you paid for a service which they did not complete and are manipulating you to believe they did. you must not be passive about this. they're taking your money and having a laugh about it. do not let them touch your car again and demand your money back. that is right for you
