It took all of 5 days for them to reach out and tell me my Stock Locked ECU was Femto Unlocked and my Donor was cloned. They offered to ECUTEK bench unlock the clone so I did and purchased the dongle.

Question here -- I've sourced an ECU from a compatible 5 series; how did you do the brake recall on the ECU to be unlocked (if you did)?

Honestly, get the brake recall done with your stock ECU, then when it gets cloned over to the donor ECU you’ll have the recall data in there.

You can always go direct to Femto. That's always been an option, even before Visconti entered the space.

Yeah man, from my understanding Femto does a data readout of your ECU then sends that data to GTP. Actually GTP hit me up and told me my clone was done a day after it got to femto.

curious to know if they will horde this file like John and his team do. If they are decent chaps one would think they would hand over that data dump file upon request from the owner.

I can’t say for certain but what I will say is I paid for it and dealing with them they seem like the type of people who’d give you what you paid for. That’s something you’d have to ask them tbh.
