There's hope... just add the low pitch bmw horn.

Was this adding the low pitch z4 horn in addition to the stock horn, or just replacing the stock horn with the z4 horn?

~ addition of the secondary horn.
I found your thread after I asked that haha Thank you!

I'm going to follow the how to on accessing the horn through the fender well and just remove the OEM horn from the bracket and replace with the Z4 low tone horn in it's place. Don't feel like splicing into wiring yet. And the low tone alone should sound much better than the clown horn.

Splicing is no longer needed! ?
(If just swapping)

Found a Plug and Play connector......
Did some measurements and the VAG/VW/Audi/Porsche connector fits perfect!
Should plug into any universal horn.

The BMW connector in the link doesnt work, as it is older (E/F series?), too small.

Nice find! Which horn did you buy? Manage to do it with bumper in place?

Getting mine looked at/changed while it's in for mapping - I don't mind it, but the wife rips the piss out of it! ?

Another update.
Have a perfect plug and play, modern horn!
Running both Fiamm 72102 (High) + 72112 (Low) with a splitter.
Will need a center bolt/nut to hold the included brackets to fit onto stock mount (not included).
Will mount onto car 2mrrw, see how it fits.

To confirm, it was the Audi/Porsche horn connector and not the BMW connector?

The link for your splitter is no longer available. Here's a new one: https://www.amazon.com/Connectors-Splitters-Auto-Power-Plus/dp/B09MFJ6TNF

I don't get it.. splicing into 2 exising wires is the easiest part of the install.. who cares about some OEM plug and play connector.. it's not like you're wiring up a HU or ECU.. just get that lower freq horn on there.
