Never too old for good tunes. Definitely not overkill. It’s an SQ build. Bass is not crazy. It’s meant for perfect reproduction of sound.

OK, as someone who values "perfect reproduction of sound" I'm very confident two giant subwoofers is not how its even close to being done. Hi-fidelity audio is not necessarily achieved via giant fucking speakers!

They are 12” subs. Very standard. I also did the entire front stage.
sail panels, a-pillars, and proper mid bass in the doors.
Take a seat. Your clueless
I think we are talking two different languages. Sure, your subs look cool and I bet they're loud as fuck and shake cars sitting next to them in the parking lot.. but that doesn't mean they reproduce sound as intended. Besides, in a car the size of the Supra, two 12" subwoofers IS overkill but if that's what you want, power to you mate: Looks intense.

As for being clueless, I respectfully disagree. ?

Is this ok w u?
It really doesn't matter what I think mate but for the record, I have Focal speakers in my old car and I feel they are the pick of the litter as far as after-market car audio goes.

This is what I’m trying to explain. These subs do not vibrate at all. U cannot hear them outside the vehicle even. At high volume either. They are the illusion 12xl. A Sound Quality sub.
Yea. The utopia front stage is absolutely incredible. It’s processed by a helix DSP and 3 amps. Helix and Mosconi.
Tuned by the best tuner on my coast.
It’s meant for perfect reproduction. Not booming bass. I’m 46. Well past that stage.
I apologize for saying you’re clueless. That’s not like me

What I’m getting at is. This is my 3rd iteration of stereo in the Supra.
If you want perfect. Do it right from the get go. I’ve prob spent almost 40k total now in audio for this car. Wish I went big from the rip

It does look good. I guess what I was trying to say is that great sound can be achieved with a lot less. The Focal kit in my Type R is all hidden behind stock grilles and my subwoofer is a small Focal underseat one. While it's not bass heavy - I prefer it this way - this setup sounds fantastic to my ears.

Glad you're happy with yours.

So is it better to only throw paddings in there? Or is it better to do that as well as throw poly fill in there?

I will also say make sure to stuff some foam between the panel behind the seat and the carpet. That by itself eliminates a huge portion of the vibrations
Exactly where are you talking about?

Edit: I figured it out, its the panel gap behind the seats, the panels that hold the child seat latch.

Even with those two panels out I still have the rattle. It's only noticeable on certain frequencies like bass drum hits.
Did you found a solution for it?

I'm having the same issue after the project done. Looked and tested a bunch of things but nothing yet...

I literally just dropped it off at the dealership to have them replace that speaker behind the seat under warranty. I’m 90% sure that’s what my issue is.

I’ll post on here whether or not that fixes it when I pick it up next week.

Thank you!!

I was about to think the same... BTW mine is also a 2023 MT... not sure I saw anyone else in the thread with this issue other than us, so maybe that's something for the 23/MT.....

What's interesting though is that it wasn't that bad before I started the project, so I kinda feel there's something at the upper piece of the subwoofer box. I see you removed the side panels before, have you removed that top part as well?

I’m sorry but I’m not going to read this whole thread. Has anyone just replaced the factory subs with real subs? Kicker Punch JL etc? How did they do vs stock?

so that’s what that hook is for. Thought it might be some sort of harness attachment afterthought.
