What u think about mhd and ecutek?^ I think that's the cheapest unlock service I've seen so far! (thankfully mine was unlocked but 100 wouldn't be bad).

Did u have mhd before ecutked? Any differeceJust wrote this: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/visconti-tuning-review.5987/
I went with Ecutek via recommendation from the tuner. I had a good experience - wouldn't really change a thing.
I never had MHD so I cant compare. But the guy in this thread did.Did u have mhd before ecutked? Any differece
https://www.supramkv.com/threads/ec...0-a90-supra-discussion.4909/page-7#post-89864Went from MHD stage 2 to Ecutek yesterday. This is on a dyno dynamics, so it'll look lower than what most are used to, but the jump in powet is huge. Planning on hitting the dynojet I usually tune on, on tuesday.
Hello JustinFeel free to ask any questions. I can answer anything you need or want to know. And feel free to reach out for a custom tune. MHD supports ALL models via OBD2, including the Locked ECU. We are THE only ones right now with this support for the locked ECU. No bench flash needed
Hello Justin
I recently had my ECU unlocked so I can tune with MHD but unfortunately, my the flashing process kept failing to write past the 2% mark and out of panic, I restored the ECU with the backed up stock file resulting in locking my ECU.
Keep in mind I adhered to the following:
Long story short, I've getting the tuning shop that unlocked my ECU to do a complete rom restore and unlocked again and am planning to flash with MHD again but am a tad nervous of the same thing happening again. Any pointers would be gratefully appreciated.
- connect vehicle to a battery charger.
- set it in diagnostics mode.
- turn off lights, radio etc that is not required.
For your additional information, MHD hadn't come across my particular rom file as the vehicle is a Japan model but MHD did an app update for the inclusion of my rom version for the android MHD app (3.26a7.apk).
PS: I got the tuning shop to do a full restore with my extracted rom files previously because the vehicle kept popping up random chassis restriction errors. Basically hadn't been the same but I guess that's part of the process.
The ECU was a Nov 2019 production and I'm using the MHD wifi adaptor (the black one).looks like you have a newer 2021 rom ID. Whats the ECU manufacturer date on the ECU label? Usually if the flash fails its due to the device not being in airplane mode or low battery. But its hard to say. Are you using the MHD wifi adapter for flashing or something else?
