If I can do full Reflex integration, ill switch from BM3 to this.

bm3 has their own rev2 board coming that’ll blow this reflex thing out of the water. They’ve been hinting at it last few posts on Instagram. Reflex has also seen so many issues recently its crazy with people reporting it restart mid pull, eating battery, etc. Maybe they got a batch of bad boards or something but its reported by many people now out there.

i wouldn't saw "blow it out of the water". Competition is good, as it always has been in the automotive industry. many of the issues (not all) were wiring issues. Some by way or aftermarket sold PnP harnesses and user install issues.

The big issue is that the the Motiv-provided harness is junk. It's honestly terrible. So many weird connectivity issues. They all went away when we swapped to a PnP harness from Tensility. The controller itself is good, but nobody should the Motiv-provided harness even if it's an easy install and cheaper.

The harness itself, I've never had an issue with, but always add appropriate PnP connectors/DTMs to it to make it plug in place. I'd also argue this Motiv provided harness is substantially harder to install.

Don't get me wrong, a PnP harness is much easier to install. But I personally find that to be relative. The Motiv-provided harness isn't exactly difficult: find a wire, tap a wire. That's not rocket science. It takes an hour. Sadly, their design just doesn't work very well. It's my personal opinion that anyone considering a Motiv should just mentally add a 3rd party harness to the TCO.

ive NEVER once had an issue with a Motiv Universal harness. Any harness issue i had was actually from one of the PnP providers, lol.

In fact the PnP harnesses take longer to install than the universal harness. I can install a reflex in 30 minutes with the car on the ground and no issues. but i think im one of few people that never used a PnP harness on my personal car, but i also use better connectors than most non PnP harness installs.

crazy how everyone has different experiences. but one thing for certain, i've never had a "REFLEX" issue. its almost always wiring. The few times it wasn't the customer just needed the correct firmware installed.

100% agreed on your last comment. The Reflex is a great box. It's always wiring or wrong firmware!

Yeah.. despite having dozens of spare engine harnesses laying around, I'm never going to tap a wire on the car, at the very least, cut, splice and solder.

FWIW- I have had some reflex issues. There are a handful of serial numbered boxes that don't play well with a build motor for whatever reason.

There are some boxes between revisions that have a resistance change that causes the crank sensor on built motors to cut out sporadically. On the surface, I understand how this makes exactly zero sense, but Jake has confirmed this.

no, resistance different makes sense due to the type of sensor the crank sensor is on these vehicles.

I have a question about mhd. I’m confused on how to engage antilag if you also have multimap enabled. The set button doesn’t seem to do anything. The BC button is what I use to map switch. Am I just not meeting some condition for antilag?

Antilag activation is by pressing and holding the cruise control rocker in the down position.

it’s the toggle ( think it’s for speed up/down?).. push down on that button (I think lol)
You feel/hear it in the car.. while pressing the button full throttle n off you go!
