In for more info/updates.

So my understanding is you can activate the remote start from the supra app as well?

Also does this over write the auto start/stop bypass? I hate that feature and like having it off, haven’t done the software recall because I don’t want to lose it being off permanently.
Just mention during the work that you have start/stop disabled. I will redo it for free for you (as long as it was done before).
It will work from both key and app.

You will have to press the button to turn off auto start/stop every single time you start the car - it is the same case for me.

I disconnected my battery many times in the past, and my exhaust flap functioned normally before this coding - no ecu relearning needed. I've been driving the car every day since the coding this past Sunday, and the exhaust flap stays open 24/7.

When I connect to BimmerLink, I can close and open the flap freely, but when I switch to Auto mode and exit Sport mode, it stays open. Also, when I set it to close and turn the ignition off, the exhaust flap stays open.

Ok, I just went for a drive, a little over 30 miles. You are right, the valve still is just always open. The odd thing is that when I remote start the car it's closed but when I get in the car and put my foot on the brake and press the start button to drive, I can hear it open and it just stays open from that point on no matter what I do. I also noticed that in sport mode the stock decel burbles are now significantly less. Maybe like 1-2 small burbles and it stops. (Bone stock tune and have never been unlocked)

My auto stop start coming back kinda sucks but it's not a huge deal. I will try coding it out again but I doubt it will work since this is the latest software that is known to not let you disable it.

Not really stoked about this since I daily my car and I can notice the increase in sound having that flap open all the time. Hope they figure out a fix for this.

I had the remote programming done this morning. Quick and easy. Would definitely recommend to others looking for an OEM remote start option. My car is stock.

I was under the impression start/stop disable isn’t an option with the new software. I have it coded to default to off or last status, whatever the option is with bimmercode.

That seems a bit more intrusive than coding stuff with Bimmercode... I wonder if it would trigger a S0777 in ISTA 🤔

its memory and/or completely off. If you're on the latest software you can't code it out, you have to press the button to turn it off every time you start the car or code the car to start in sport mode instead

I decided to restore one of my backup DME to my 2020 without the remote start coding. After driving with it a few days with just a 93 map from MHD and no MHD+ features and the exhaust flap staying open 24/7, it wasn't worth the effort to keep it.

My butt dyno felt the car wasn't running properly after the 93 map flash. I've already emailed MHD the screenshots of the codes, etc - I guess they're still looking into it, maybe they will put out a update for it.

These are the codes you will be getting from protools and MHD if you got the remote start coding done. Again, my OEM exhaust flap works normally and these codes were never present before the remote start coding so hopefully bimmer remote figures it out why some of us are experiencing this issue.

The car runs like it should after restoring my backup DME, reflashing MHD+ and XHP, exhaust flap returned back to normal like it should.

I just tried coding the auto start stop off with bimmercode and it seems to have worked. I only took the car down the road and back to test it, but the symbol didn't pop up at all.

Still have the always open exhaust valve issue and the lack of burbles in sport mode. So something is still definitely off with this remote start coding....

Seems like ya'll are beta testing this product.
They are but since Bimmer remote is actually working on fixing everything in a timely manner, I would say that’s fine. I wouldn’t mind being a paying test victim as long as everything is sorted out, with no extra cost at the end. I do the same thing with customers and Whipple supercharger tunes everyday. Product gets released, unforeseen problems get found. Couple of back and forth revisions and everything is good. Just part of the car industry and new products.

it won't, it's not a tune, all OEM software. I guarantee there's no trigger.
As for start/stop disable,, for anyone wanting it, I will add it to them included (free of charge)

Regarding the exhaust flaps, the vehicle’s software is being updated to enable remote start, and unfortunately, this is not something I can control. Before releasing the activation, I performed several tests on a Supra. The vehicle we tested had its exhaust flaps fully disabled, which is why we did not encounter any issues.

I believe this may be the only downside, and it can be easily addressed with an additional valve controller or through the vehicle’s tune, either of which can be added afterward.

Is this remote start software update/coding reversible?
